I just can't see Pacquiao hurting Cotto. He'll connect. Cuz he is fast. And Cotto ain't exactly hard to hit. But Cotto's been hit before. He's been hurt before. He knows what to do. He'll bide his time. And eventually impose his will on Pacquiao. I have serious doubts about Pacquiao being able to take Cotto's punches.
It's gotta be either that or Cotto can't deal with the speed. Cotto really ain't been to the body in a big way for a few fights, I don't get that

His best bet is to pound those ribs and slow him down, about 8-9 hard shots during the 1st four rounds should do the trick.
Mosley and Judah had more speed than him. He was able to deal with there speed. But you right. A good body attack is something he should invest in. It'll make his night quicker

Pacmans guna be quicker than Cotto, Cotto looks to have slowed down a little since the Margarito loss. And i dont care what anybody says Pacman hits hard.

But, ive said this constantly, had Hatton fought a smarter fight and just managed to live with Pacman a few rounds im convinced Pacman would seriously struggle with Hattons power. And Cotto hits harder, alot harder. No matter how perfect you fight and no matter how good your defence, unless you take your opponant out very early your guna get hit at some point.

Whens the last time you saw Pacquiao knocked down? I love Cotto and he's one of my favorite fighters but he can't knock Manny out! Cotto is excelent offensivly but doesnt have quite the chin Pacquiao does. This is a win lose situation for me. I love these two guys and they would make an awsome fight but I hate to see them beat each other up.

Winner Pacquiao KO by the 11th!

And i just cant see Pacman doin to Cotto what he did to Hatton. Its gotta be a Cotto win by KO.

Pacquiao just seems to be unstopable as of late and i'm not jumpin off the train until someone can do something to at least put up a resistance!

Cotto has been hit and hurt before but if Pac has Cotto in trouble, he knows how to finish the job. I don't think Cotto has fought anyone with the angles and punches in bunches that Pac will throw his way.

Pac being able to take Cotto's punches is the biggest problem IMO. Cotto's power will be something Manny has never felt before. I HOPE he can handle them. If not, it's goodnight Manny.

I honestly can't make a prediction. I want Pac to win of course, but it all depends on who gets in serious trouble first cause both men can finish fights when the opportunity arises. This is going to be a tactical brawl cause both men are punchers deep down but have very underrated boxing skills. They will respect each other early on but the deeper the fight goes, the more advantageous it will be for Manny. But TBH, I don't think this one is going the distance.

You know I just got to thinking how fun a Pac/Maragarita fight would be

Not that I want Tanya to make any more $$$ in a sport he disrespected; but Rock em Sock em Robots wouldn't even be close to describing that.

Manny will most likely approach this fight like the Oscar fight. Lots of movement and turning.

This fight will hinge on Cotto's ability to trap and time Manny. If he can trap Manny, he will win it. That is a big question mark for me because Cotto's timing seemed off against Clottey. That timing will be crucial for him. He will not beat manny if he is kept a half step behind the whole fight.

Manny will need to move and pick his spots. His legs are what can win him this fight. He will have to be very careful about jumping in because he might end up on his ass. Manny likes to dart in, but he will not get away with it against Cotto. Manny will have to use constant movement, potshot early and start working late. If he can cut Cotto up his chances increase.

Pac's great and every time I've bet against him, I've made to look foolish. BUT.... Cotto's body shots are the answer for Pac's speed. Cotto tags him with a few good body shots, takes Pac's speed, and this exciting back and forth fight gets really one sided in a matter of seconds.

Pac starts out real strong, but loses by devastating K.O.

pacs body has been trained to take big blows, and fighters who try to go to pacs body gets a body beating back aswell.

based on clottey cotto fight pac will outwork and outspeed cotto. but cottos punches will be one of the strongest pac will feel. so this will be an exctiing fight

2 of those 3 guys mentioned(Judah and Clottey) faded late and Cotto was able to overcome one, Judah. And outpoint another, Clottey.

Pacquiao isn't gonna slow down late so Cotto had better not come in with the same strategy of giving those middle rounds away and coming on late with just enough. Pacquiao is going to be in his face for 12 rounds and honestly its a bad style matchup for Cotto.

Clottey landed his combos but unless he set it up with the jab he was there to catch the rest on his gloves or arms or anything, he gave Cotto chances to come on. Judah was about the same but he would land his shots and then look at his work and Cotto was able to come forward and hit him. Pacquiao will come in land his combinations and then bounce back out before Cotto gets off that counter left hook the only way Cotto is catching Pacquiao with that left is if he catches him on the way in and I don't see Cotto's left being that fast, and I don't see Cotto taking the late rounds from him either. So im gonna go with Pacquiao via stoppage.

And lets be serious ALL these guys are ducking Paul Williams technically if he can still make 47 which he can apparently. But then again who wouldn't duck that guy. But with all these welterweight fights coming its a shame to see Paul Williams not involved even though he says he can go from 147 to 168 for any fights I'd like to see him in some of these matchups. HBO got rid of Robert Guerrerro's picture from their site, they should put Paul Williams's up.

    Anyway Pacquiao late stoppage.

This is a very interesting match-up. I am very happy Manny didn't just wait for the outcome of Mayweather Marquez. With that being said I couldn't say who would win but I would give Cotto the edge. Natural weight and a viscious body puncher when he does go down there anymore. Pacquaio would probably just have to box and pick his shots and then later maybe if Cotto is hurt at all go after him in the championship rounds.

That's one thing I admire about Pacquiao - a lot of fighters would have taken a warm up fight in anticipation of meeting the winner of Mayweather/Marquez. Instead, Manny goes for one of the toughest fights he can find.

    Nice.

thats cause he is quitting boxing on going in to politics in 2010, plus he is a made boxer and has very little to prove.

i still go with pac but cotto can KO pac so till be more exciting for me to watch. and i am also worried that pac may not be as focused as before cause right now he is doing alot of things a few movies, going to provinces to gain peoples support for the upcoming elections.

we will know soon if he is going in this fight 100% if he comes in for training with roach on time.

    MAN!!!!

Did you fail your sex education class?

It should be "May the best woman or man win".

Lordy, do I need to flash you, so that you can see one of the differences between a man and woman.

Oh, and btw, the gloves are off, and it's on!!

We'll have to come up with a bet.

After watching the Quintana fight... Im goin with Pacquiao.
Quintana was owning Cotto for 4 and a half round IMO.

You take that guy and transplant him into a more potent model and Cotto is in big trouble.

As usual Cotto has a punchers chance given the destructiveness of his body punches but to be honest im bored of voting for the 'puncher'.

I just need to figure out if Cotto drops before he can make it competitive

When I said "may the best man win," I meant between Cotto and Manny lol!

    I wouldn't mind a flash though...
