Although Pac would have to work hard if the Hatton-Tszyu ref worked the fight, since he let Hatton get away with constant holding/wrestling/mugging.
Oh yes and that help too.

Pac would have never let himself get stuck on the ropes like KT did so often; he didn't let him hold him in their fight and the few times Ricky tried he threw him off. Same outcome with the Pac now vs. the Ricky then; maybe 2 more rounds if you think his chin was so much better then.

Ok; I can concede that. So he gets pummeled in 5 instead

I hated to see that against Pac. I wanted Rick to win but man he underestimated that kid, and when he realized he was in deep he didn't know what to do; too confused to start pulling off all those new tricks Sr. had him practicing, so went back to doing what he knew best and got blasted. Shame really; he could have put on a better performance had he at least held his hands up and moved his head

I think Hatton KOs him.. being that Pacman was a whisping 118lbs or so back then!

No really. I think Pac today decisions Hatton of 'yor. His guard was still low, his physique a little better, punches a little crisper, and he was hell of tough. Pac would just have a harder time finishing him off.

And, yes. The ref would have a lot to do with it, SweetPea! haha. I mean it was bad officiating, but really, you didn't hear any complaints from Tszyu after the fight.. I think they both got away with a lot, Hatton a touch more.

Yes. They're just much different fighters, KT's biggest issue with Hatton was not being "past his prime" but that he had slow feet and needed range to punch.
