I just want to add to the thread that catch-weights, In my honest opinion, have no place in boxing anymore, not with the stupid amount of weight classes available. This should be at 147

Bullshit taeth
You will never pick against a athletic guy.. In the 3+ years I have been here you are like a fly in a bugzapper crazy creaming all over those type of guys
Fair enough and thats your opinion, but you ignore the true facts...
Pac is not tested LEGITIMATELY Past 135 and we have no earthly idea how he will assimilate Cotto's power and being clobbered by a 155 lb wrecking ball. Oscar was shot and capoot, couldnt even really land a glove on Manny let alone set and throw a power shot. Hatton got slaughtered because he tried jumping on pac without moving his head or jabbing.
Cotto will be fresher and functional at 145 than DLH, he has a high tight guard and he is effective and patient with his aggression to go along with an excellent jab.. Miguel can box and is a suberb counterpuncher who can fight forward and backwards seemlessly. Pac can try to dart in and out but he has to come into range sooner or later and when he does he will pay a stiff price that no one can say with conviction his body and chin can handle.
Cotto has battled adversity being beaten up with loaded gloves and coming back, also proved in the Clottey fight that he can swim in the deep waters
Basically Pac is going to get his liver knocked through his a$$hole

don't forget to mention that Cotto is a natural counter puncher, watch most of his early fights, he adopted the aggressive style pretty much around the Sosa fight, but he still counter punches pretty damn effectively and i know of one counter puncher who's given Pacquiao nightmares
