The problem with looking at the last few fights for someone is open to personal preference and favouritism.
Some will say Pac was just too good for Hatton and DLH, on the other hand some say they were not good enough and were overated. So you have one side saying Pac won because he was soo good and others slagging off the opposition making a nothing of his wins.
Then we have the last few Cotto fights, were most people are claiming that his opposition was higher so that was what made him look bad.( or at least not particularly good)
At the end of the day the one thing that will tell is the end result, whoever is left standing should get the kudos.......that is until we start using the weight argument again to suit the needs of whoever lost and then we go round again.
It should be a great fight, I think it's a 50-50 shot for either fighter. Both guys have had trouble taking power punches although it hasn't cost them too many losses.
I think Cotto is a savvy enough boxer to give Pacquiao problems, sure he's lacking in handspeed but he's good at timing his opponents, I think he will beat Manny, because the "best outcome" (really depends on who you are cheering for in this case) RARELY happens in boxing...I think Floyd Mayweather Jr. is ONLY looking at fighting Pacquiao and if Cotto was to win he wouldn't take that fight.
This is true. I think they're both at the elite level it's pretty much 50/50. I like both fighters so I won't be devastated if either wins. I'm am rooting for Cotto though because, like you mentioned, I want to see if Mayweather would accept a fight with him.
I heard somewhere that Cotto was making this his last fight win or lose. If it's true I'd like to see him go out on a win.

HAHA! That definitely WAS Saddoboxer! It must be killing him that he can't post on here when there is a major Pacquiao bout coming up. That makes me feel that much better...
