This is the guy Haye should have been fighting in the 1st place to see exactly where he stands in the heavyweight division. Valuev can either be the best thing to ever happen to Haye or his worst nightmare. A big solid heavyweight with a granite chin. If he wins he can start calling himself a Russian assassin and set up for bigger paydays with the Klitsckos.

Didn't everybody say they want to see Haye fight a couple more heavyweights before the Bitchsko's ? Yes they did. Lyle said it would hype the Bitchsko fight up more and would give Haye more experience. Aint shiit wrong with what he's doing. You want to have heard what the contract was if he fought Vitali Bitchsko. Immediate rematch, then Wladimir then Uncle Bitchsko gets wheel chaired into the ring. Almost like they would be promoting Haye. Haye has done a smart move here.

So what's really going on is, instead of promoting himself through actually fighting, the new messiah of the HW's is promoting himself through pretending he's going to fight? And if Haye pulls out of the fight with Sasquatch what will you say then? He's still on an extended promotional tour? You'll be changing sigs on a monthly basis with this clown.

I could understand if he had fought his way up the ranks and was getting shafted after he earned the right to a title fight, but he hasn't done anything in the HW division to think he's so special that he can run around dictating terms and playing hide and go seek with the top guys. Actually I'm glad the Klitheads punked his ass in the contract; shows what he's really about, and simultaneously letting him know exactly where he is in the pecking order lol. Obviously he's not serious about wearing that pretigious HW belt and proclaiming himself top dog in the world. He could have beaten up Vitali or Wlad and then written his own checks, and not even had to earn it the old fashioned way, but cowardice is a haunting shadow that he can' run away from.

Haye just needs to fight period. I agree with those that say he doesn't have the negotiating power he thinks he has, someone needs to tell him that. The champ calls the shots, that's the way it should be. One fight for peanuts is worth years of having the power in your corner.
As it stands now, if Haye/Valuev goes through it will be a year between fights, definately not the record of someone who is trying to climb the ranks.

I do however agree that fighting Valuev is a better move for him at this point. Although I don't know how much more bargaining power it will bring.

haye is a cack.....i can't belive i tried to even stand up for the guy, haye is a great talker, would also make a pretty good celebrity stalker heck maybe even making t-shirts could be his thing, but other than that i've lost all interest for the guy. You can make up all the excuses and reasons he's pulled out of both fights you want, injury, money, it's all bullshit. If pulling out of fights with bullshit excuses/injuries/just-being-a-bitch while talking big and everyone who isn't a complete dick-rider knowing you have no integrity or worth as a human being........yeah I would say it was a smart move.


However, if you are a real boxer who lets actions do the talking you proceed in this fashion:
Action 1: Promise a top 10 hw: then fight Monte Barrett
Action 2: Sign with Wlad, backs out while talking non-stop shit.
Action 3: Sign with Vitalli, then blatantly back out while talking non-stop shit.
Action 4: Sign a fight with a complete joke that holds a worthless strap. In fact, would Valuev even be a top 10 HW if he wasn't gifted decision after decision? I don't know where a loss to Ruiz and Holyfield would put him?
