I remember way back in the day when Floyd Mayweather was fighting Jesus Chavez I believe and had announced before that he wanted Oscar De La Hoya. Larry Merchant said 'I think Floyd has about as much chance against Oscar as Eric Morel would have against him'

By the way Jaz, does Soto speak English or did you talk to him in Spanish?

I had heard he only spoke Spanish, so I was using my very basic grasp to try talk to him, at which point he started talking to me in English, not fluent but enough that you could talk to him & he seemed to understand it well. I think because a lot of these guys do post-fight interviews in Spanish, we assume they're not bi-lingual (as with Marquez who's English is good) but then you have to take into account they've been gettin punched in the head for a fair bit of time just before so they're probably not ready to answer questions in a second language.
