I'm mostly into the classic 60s and 70s. Neil, Dylan, Clapton, Steely Dan, The Band, etc etc. Jeff Beck still puts out gems every few years. He turned 65 last month I like some old old metal/hard rock, such as Black Sabbath, old Van Halen, etc, Aerosmith Toys in the Attic. Metallica never really did it for me.
Actually I did forget about Conquistador, guess I didn't consider it a hit. Yea, the 60's and 70's are my favorites also. Steppenwolf, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, ELO etc. I was never really into the hard rock back then, I actually enjoy some of that music now, tastes change I guess.

Hmm, I like the really old Mac, such as Station Man, but the Stevie Nicks era Mac I don't like so much anymore. Steppenwolf were great rockers, but I also think they were underrated as lyricists. They were very socially conscious. Check out For Ladies Only if you can find the original album version, the version on all the compilation albums is missing a whole verse and extended piano solo. Heart played our high school just before they became famous. They did great versions of Zeppelin tunes. I was really big on Zep back in the day.
I've always liked Stevie Nicks' voice, so I was and still am a fan of hers. That's great having Heart play at your H.S. They played at the casino up in Oklahoma not to long ago, I would have loved to see them. I'll have to check on "For Ladies Only", I don't recall ever hearing that album. Sounds funny talking about albums, I'm sure some will say what the hell are those? I still have my original Led Zepplin album, although it's a bit warped and not really in playing shape...lol.
