Does one really need a US passport, a US residence and a redundant vote to make an informed decision about US society and politics? Surely there are huge swathes of US people with those "qualifications" who are totally ignorant about the important historical evolution US foreign policy and the party poltical system. In this regard a great number of "ousiders" are probably far more qualified to pass judgement on the US.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion about something no matter where they are from, just as long as it is an informed opinion.
I'm with Miles, not to endorse his opinions, but this is after all a discussion on foreign policy. Which is about how a country relates to the rest of the world, so that indeed qualifies the rest of the world to comment.
