friday night party thread

I missed the party. Boring Friday night, and I was asleep unusually early too. No raving from me.

Do you get many opportunitys to hit the bar where you are miles??

For what its worth i spent between the hours of 10-2am unsuccesfully chatting up everything that moved including a right few munters and got absoloutely nowhere, headed to a house party from then on and proceeded to smoke a bit of homegrown and puke up over my friends finest persian

I remember once in my younger days, sharing a house with another guy, who was out of town at the time, and I decided to host a spur of the moment party. Word got out and a ton of people showed up, thank God most of them were my friends.

Anyways, we were all just a rockin, I can't recall what I was drinking, but the last thing I remember the place was packed and I was leaning out the kitchen window puking my guts out. The next thing I know, I wake up the next day sprawled in a chair, the sun is shining, and there's no-one around. I find out from my friends that the party went on for a few more hours, with me passed out right in the middle of things.

Well I work 11 hour days, 5 days a week, so I'm too fuking tired to go out on Fridays.

Not that I'm complaining, because I get to spend Friday nights with my favorite guys. I watch FNF with Danny, and post and have fun with my boys here at the same time.

I'll share one funny/embarrassing Friday night drunkiness story though.

This was probably about 7 years ago, and I had to play a double header coed softball game that didn't start until after 10:00 pm, and by the time we got done playing, and made it to the bar, it was already after 1:00 am. So we didn't have much time to drink.

So right off the bat, I ordered 2 double shots of whiskey to get started. Within 45 minutes I had done about 10 shots, and since I hadn't eaten all day, those shots hit me like a ton of bricks. I have no idea how many more I had after that. So then, I just left without telling my friends, who were pissed because they didn't want me to drive, but luckily I only lived about 4 miles away, and some how I made it home.

The next thing I remember, is becoming semi-conscious, and feeling kind of cold, thought nothing of it, started to passout again, but the cold was getting to me. So I opened my eyes and tried to focus, when realized that I was sitting in my lounger out on my deck, it was dark outside still, and I had turned on the light that shines down on the deck.

Now at the time I was living in a ranch duplex, so our deck was built on the side of the house, so it was facing our neighbors place, who happened to be another rental with two college guys living there.

So I'm sitting there trying to focus, and wondering why the hell I went out there, when I realized that I was sitting there completely naked. That kind of sobered me up a little, enough that I crawled inside to my bed, and prayed that no one had seen me.

So the next day, I obviously slept in late, but then I got up, and went to the grocery store. When I came back, and was unloading my car, the two guys from next door come over, and say hello with big grins on their face. I of course, am $hitting bricks knowing why they are probably grinning. Then both of them hand me a bunch of quarters, and asked me when the next peep show was going to be. I thought I was going to die of embarrassment right then and there. They said that when they came home, they seen me because the lights were shining right down on me, and their headlights hit me as well as they turned into the driveway. They also admitted to coming over and taking a closer look.

But wait, it gets better....

I also had a friend living with me for a bit, because she needed a place to stay. She had gotten up before me, because she had to go somewhere, and when she returned, she was telling me that she had a hard time sleeping, because cars kept going by and beeping their horn, and she didn't know why. Of course, I had to tell her what happened, God, she couldn't stop laughing at me.

I just thank God, that my son was at his dads that weekend.

He would be doing something illegal though because you operate under the rules of the country you are in.

Although I do think its a bit daft to not allow people under the age of 21 to drink. They can marry and have kids and yet they cannot legally order a beer. Seems a bit silly.

Get the eldest member of your party to head into the nearest liquor store and buy a shit load of booze. Neck the lot before you enter the club so`s you wont need to buy alcohol anyway on account of you being trolleyed.

Mad really how in britain 2 queers can legally pound eachothers arses when they turn 16 but cant drink a pint of bitter until they are 18?

I seem to have missed this post.

Actually, these days I don't really go out to bars as much as I did in the old days. In my first few years here I was a bit of a social animal, but since getting married and getting older I've found myself going out less and less. I sometimes go to a local boozer with the few people I know, but otherwise don't hang out in big groups like I used to.

People typically come here on one year contracts and then they are gone and the cycle of making friends over and over gets stale. You know more and more about the country each year and they know less and less and it just becomes more effort than it's worth. So, just a very quiet and usually deserted bar with a few friends with lives similar to my own. Sometimes I might even sit at the bar alone, which is something I would never have considered doing back home. I will usually pop out once a week, twice if I'm bored and wife permitting.

With posts like this and my thread about insurance I wonder if I have now become middle-aged.

Sadly my life reads a bit Like Miles, I take about two hours to get from the office to my house so I tend not to hang about as the trains are shite after rush hour. I once left the city at 9pm and didn't get home until 12:30am.
having spent a bit of time in London I was used to going out on the piss quite a bit, the wife used to like a good night out too but now we have a little boy who's almost 4 we can't really get out, not that we mind.

Only problem is that locally where I live the bars are a bit rougher which Idon't mind coming from Glasgow, but the missus feels well out of place with her Prada bags and getting a bit more dressed up.

Won't bore you with any old stories about when I did get out....usually end up with vomit,locked out the house and the occassional copper......... Although there was that time with the twins............

Think you misinterpreted what I was saying mate, it took me that long just to get home, not saying it was a late night just that the public transport is so shite it makes it a waste of time to stay out in the city. if I get a cab home it would cost about $250 and no one would want to do it anyway.

used to gout at 10pm back home go clubbing after midnight leave the club at 4am then off the the pub for 5am at the fruit market so I have been there despite now being an old fart
