Actually had not realised there were 3 brothers, they were tough as nails but not brilliant fighters.

Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
I remember Christophe getting all the hype, he was supposed to be the next Carpentier...
Fabrice always struck me as an honest pro, and although he seemingly did not always show it, I think he did have an excellent work effic to make up for his lack of natural ability. Although beating a still lively McCallum (all be it in France) was a fair result.
He easily beat a couple of decent domestic operators in Core and Magee to show us Brits he may be a bit lively.
I remember the first Hill fight, and I was a little disappointed in Fabrice, he let the occasion get to him, and lost more convincingly than the split decision suggests.
Like the McCallum fight, the Michalczewski win looks real good, and to be fair, I picked Michalczewski, but hindsight hurts Fabrice, and he will get only minimal credit for the win, as history is written.

I've seen his fights with Mike McCallum, Dariusz Michalczewski, Virgil Hill x2. Mike McCallum was still good but you could see he had for certain lost a step, he was too slow and i thought it was reasonably close, but Mike McCallum lost by atleast 2 rounds, from my memory including the knockdown.
you're right my friend, that's the problem with the French, they do too much once one of their fighter is a fair one.I remember Christophe getting all the hype, he was supposed to be the next Carpentier...
ON the paper in France he was nearly as good as Carpentier, you're right.
He might be remembered as minor in history, but I think he's satisfied being a 3times world champ. Few can say the same.
Never will be confused for an Adonis and at first glance you could just picture him wielding a putter and strolling across the golf course as opposed to wearing gloves lol.But he was a comer from what Ive seen though nothing really grabs you as 'great'.McCallum was on the a bit on the otherside but Tiozzo had him rattled bad off that right hand and went for the finish,to shake him at the bell and I thought he took it wider than the cards read.
He had some nice stateside exposure. He flat out hustled a decent fighter in Miller for Cruiser strap and the one I cannot erase from memory was the 2nd Hill fight.Had to do a double take that night as the normally pure boxing Hill had turned into a gloved blitzkrieg and bounced a shocked Tiozzo all over the ring in one.His weight fluctuations were really something else, like a roller coaster.
Tiozzo wasnt anything special IMO.
When he won the title on the Holyfield- Moorer 2 undercard the crowd got behind him but that was more down to their displeasure of Nate Millers laziness rather than appreciation for Tizzos skills. That was a razor close decision too.
I cant belive he got blown away by and old Virgill Hill aswel. Decent fighter but I was surprised to read his name on a thread title.
