Why not just walk away then? I know it's easier said than done for a person like Hatton but if you're going to eat and drink like a roman emperor it's probably best not to continue to get hit by people who have dedicated their lives to punching other people.

Yet if you're the other British son like Hamed and you do the same thing and walk away you will get called a coward that couldn't cut it once he was exposed. But Hatton doing it is just fine


Personally I think Hatton should have one more fight in england against Khan, then once he loses he can deliver a farewell speech to the fans in the arena and walk away with his head high and his pockets full. But he really needs to watch those weight issues.

First, I've never said anything about Hamed, and he and Hatton's careers are hardly comparable other than the fact that both are British. Second, what is Hatton going to prove by sticking around other than he has an amazing ability to be on the receiving end of highlight-reel KO's?

I agree with CFH and seeing how he has a cheeseburger chin at the moment, I would tend to think that he has a LOT of work to do to get fit again... he should retire or start to get fight right now in order not to drain himself to make weight.
