Actually the cause of all these talk is Pac's camp asking Cotto to shed 2 pounds on Welterweight limit of 147. If Cotto agrees with it, then he is confident he can make the weight and win the fight.

We fans should be blessed to have this fight to happen, we should not speak on behalf of Cotto that this "so called Pac tactics and manipulation" would surely his defeat as all Cotto fans are feeling.

I repeat, 145 it's a weigh-in weight and Cotto can weight 170lbs during the fight. Cotto believes he can make the weight so we fans should be grateful he is taking this fight.

Cotto has his own fight plans and Cotto sees 145 weigh-in limits not much to worry. Give him props for accepting the fight.

that's not what they're going on about, Cotto agreed to a 145 lb NON-TITLE CATCHWEIGHT fight, and yet Pacquiao and the WBO are trying to get it to be a title fight at 145, and as Cotto himself said clearly, he's not putting the title up, and if they want to strip him, he'll go hand in the title himself

What interest the Pac camp is Cotto's belt, without the belt, what will be the sense in beating Cotto? he just be another statistics.

Pac would not become more special if he beats Cotto without the belt.

any win over Cotto, title or not, is bigger than anything he's done as of late, barring maybe the Hatton win, IMO it'd be the biggest win since his second fight with Morales

Pac beating Cotto at 145, title or no, would be the biggest and most impressive victory of him career IMO.

Fighting for Cotto's title is a CALCULATED risk, it's worth the risk though winning the 7th div title is for boxing immortality. If Manny loses at least we know we tried. If Manny wins in a non-title fight people from 100 years from now won't even care that he fought a man named Miguel Cotto.
I'd rather have Manny taking a BIGGER RISK with Mosely with the welter belt on the line.
Manny does not need Cotto in order to fight PBF.
NO TITLE NO FIGHT FOR ME.

thing is due to the illegal wraps and a win over Mosley, Cotto can still make the claim that he's the #1 fighter at welter

wheres the proof? from what i know and FACT is that the only time Margo got caught with illegal substance on his gloves is when he fought mosley.. never heard about it against cotto.. excuses excuses.. Margo annihilate cotto simple as that.. get over it.. cotto can't claim to be the #1 fighter at welter.. PBF is the welters #1..
