Lenny would batter Kimbo & I think just had a slight edge of Shaw, who was probably a harder man (given his size), but Lenny was just that much bigger. Kimbo would get fucked up by them man though

Although I would add a guy who came up round my area called Andrew 'Sparks' Wanogho. Probably the meanest guy I have ever seen, even though he was a Welter, I reckon he could've handled at least Kimbo. A truly horrible piece of work, but a guy who was knockin out big grown men with a punch when he was a teenager.

I've read Shaw's book. He is clearly mentally ill.

Kimbo holds back when he hurts guys in those street fights, Lenny and especially the mentally ill Shaw are 100% sheer violence merchants that get turned on at the sight of a beaten, wounded opponent.. so the loons would win.

Well, to be honest, i'm not really impressed by crazy violent lunatics bragging about bashing people up.

Ive known some seriously violent people in the real world and now hate that lifestyle.

Shaw's book was complete shit. To me he's either mentally ill or thick as shit and certainly not someone i would want to be around. I read it in two sittings whilst working behind a bar.

Agree completely, I've grown up around people like this & in the most part they are nasty pieces of work.

The guy I mentioned in the previous post was virtually no different to Lenny McLean, but because of a romanticization of 60s mobsters, McLean is seen as a 'hard bastard, real sound top fella', whilst Sparks is seen (rightly) as a one man crimewave & vicious killer. Not all criminals & fighters are like that, but McLean (& I have to admit I enjoyed his book) was a bully who knew it. He was not one of these guys standing up for the little guy & the picked upon. Fact.

One of those Mclean v Shaw fights is brutal. Shaw gets a proper bearing and the only thing keeping him up is Mcleans repeated uppercuts :-)
