The good news is Dr. Michael Baden helped with the second autopsy in Quebec and they already said they found new injuries

Yep, severe bruises apparently and he says that there is other major "avoidances" that the prosecutors in Brazil didn't mention, he doesn't even have the toxicologist report yet, which should be provided this week normally by OUR toxicologists in Montreal, and he'll talk more about the apparently steak knife stab behind the head, sounds like it's getting more and more fishy, especially after the report that Gatti was forced/convinced by his wife to change his will 3 weeks before and to put everything to her name in case of his death...

Gatti's brother confirms that Arturo's will was changed 3 weeks before his death, and that the wife gets everything.

Ex-boxer's wife to inherit everything, family confirms - The Globe and Mail

If that, along with everything else new that is being found, doesn't in raise red flags, I don't know WTF will.

To be honest, with the sheer level of corruption within the police forces of Brazil, I wouldn't be surprised if she promised over some of the money. It's a sad situation to say, but your average Brazilian police officer probably makes the officers of Rampart Division look like Sgt Joe Friday.

From the article it also says that Gatti's wife will also receive 1 million dollars in a life insurance policy. Red flags are everywhere.

I want to know if she made him take away the trust fund he had already set up for his 1st child, a 3 year old girl. Once his wife met the ex-girlfriend, and his daughter, she forbid him from seeing his daughter.

Arturo Gatti's wife Amanda Rodrigues nixed contact with first child, says girl's mom Erika Rivera

OK let's look at this two ways...

#1 Let's say Arturo Gatti DID commit suicide, why no note? Why didn't he threaten to kill himself? Why hasn't anyone said "Arturo was depressed" or "Arturo had talked about killing himself", even his wife didn't say Arturo was depressed! She said "He was worried she might leave him", but she never said he was depressed or that he threatened to take his own life. Suicide isn't usually something you do on a whim....and it's usually not done by hanging yourself with a PURSE STRAP, I mean why not a belt, why not an electrical cord Why not OD on pills? Why not use a gun? Why not use a knife That plus the other unidentified injuries makes suicide seem a bit odd.

#2 Let's say Arturo was murdered, his wife never had an alibi, she was in the house/apt for 10 hours, no one left, no one came in, the police checked servailence and the electronic locks, ergo there are only 3 people in the house/apt only 1 has the ability to murder Arturo Gatti and that is Amanda Rodrigues. Surely if Gatti killed himself it's a suicide, and it's HIGHLY doubtful that a 10 month old could kill Arturo no matter how drunk he was. Now throw in the new information about Gatti's will and it casts a big shaddow over Miss Rodrigues and her doings that night.

I think Dr. Michael Baden was the PERFECT dude to call on, if you've seen his specials on HBO, you know he's one smart guy and he'll get to the bottom of this.

I do think if Canada finds incriminating evidence, they are going to have to go through hell to extridite Ms. Rodrigues.

No worries Lyle, I've read that Brazil would have the right to refuse such things but Brazil and Canada are getting along together and I've read by a specialist this morning that though brazil could refuse such request, it was likely un-probable that they deny Canada such thing. The cunt might have to suck a lot more cocks and wheel herself in a chair for a couple more months after all the buttbanging necessary to pull out of that one.

To add to your fuel: if you would want to commit yourself, would you do it in a very un-manlish way and hang up yourself with a woman purse? I would for sure not and at least, chose the hardest bitchy rope and drop myself from the highest bridge to at least die with style.

It's a horrific case and none of it seems to add up at all. You make a lot of valid arguments in this post and with what is coming out about the will...well it seems very suspicious.

I was interested to see the link Diane put up, a shame to see it removed. I'm not one for looking at dead bodies, but we all want a clearer indication of what we are dealing with here. Too much stuff spinning around for me.
