Every one I drove just felt like something was missing.

There was something missing. Familiarity.

The important thing is, you are happy with the purchase, and that it isn't doesn't turn out a lemon. So grats on it, and remember me when you are ready to give it away!

Well my 2001 Focus has 284,000 KMS on it and still runs perfect. Other than brakes, tires and timing belt, the only thing I had to get fixed was a front end link kit ($110 installed) and have the front springs replaced (covered under recall). The Exhaust is even still original!!! The only reason I got rid of it is because in the past 4 months, the check engine light would come on once in a while and it made my wife panic, but it is just age.

Not bad if you ask me

The new focus feels nothing like the old one. The steering feel is the same, but other than that it feels like a different car all the way.
