Violence begets violence. Peace, love and understanding is what the world needs. The death penalty while making angry people feel vindicated serves to reinforce more violence. Anyone who knows someone in policing and legal circles knows it's more about career advancement than the truth, the bigger the conviction, right or wrong the bigger the recognition for those involved and the bigger the career advancement. There is nothing bigger than a murder conviction with a death penalty, right or wrong, those involved usually don't care, the result is usually the main focus. Justice is not always served. Keep that in mind.

My thoughts and prayers with VF family and in particular with the child who saw it all go down. A sad sad loss not just to the boxing world but to the society VF lived in. A great guy and a great loss. RIP.

Keep in mind that criminals dont follow that peace, love and harmony shit. They follow evil. You dont prevent evil by letting it out in 20 years to perpetrate evil again. you eradicate evil so it can do no evil again to anybody.

What makes me mad is how this coward fired away at Vernon from behind when he was walking away. I wish that guy dared himself to throw a punch at Vernon and see what would happen after that. What a coward. Firing your weapon at a guy who turns his back and walks away, psshhh!

Death penalty serves as a notice that when you fuck with life, life is what you will pay.

It should serve as a deterrent to comitting henious crime

It should do but it doesn't. The fact is if people like this go inside for life & don't change, they end up dead anyway. Why put blood on more hands?

Could be, but they could kill more before being killed in a dirty alley. I just thought VF was not the first for this murderers, and they will continue to do more because it's already a way of life for them. They could be a crack addict, clepto, bums, homeless, robbers.

Why let them roam the streets and littered .

I didn't say let them roam the streets, I said lock them up for life. Hence the only place they will be dying is either a prison hospital or a prison yard.

But the prison would still feed them with your taxes, then they would complain of too much peanut butter sandwhich or too thin the slice of bacon or complains of everything once locked up for so long.
