Does anyone care about the Jones vs Lacy fight?

I don't really care about the showboating but I still laugh at all the Roy fans who were so upset about Calzaghe's taunting.

Calzaghe showing him up at his own game was a thing of beauty.

ha one thing at least we agree on.

Watching Jones taunt the hapless and overmatched Lacy last night I did get some satisfaction remembering back to Calzaghe sticking his face inside Jones' guard and smiling at him before pummeling him with multiple punch combinations.

At the time i really didn't enjoy seeing JC taunt Jones in the way he did, But after last night i suddenly felt good about it!

personally,the showboating was WAY too much.And i agree with ICB that Lacy's power has gone, although it would help if he could land occasionaly. Disagree with you though ICB when you say he beat lacy as comfortably as calzaghe did. Calzaghe landed far more, and was hit with less, also the context of the fights has to be taken into account

I don't think it's fair to say Calzaghe landed more than Jones did. They both have two different styles. Calzaghe is a volume puncher while Jones like to pick and chose his spots.

I thought Calzaghe was being a jerk the way he was disrespecting Jones when they fought but Jones just got hit with Karma. I'm OK with Roy dancing and revving up the crowd. But talking to the crowd and punching Lacy while looking away was over the top. It was a great performance but I thought that kind of showboating leaves with age.

Whoever watched last night saw a vintage Roy but I thought he would have matured a bit.
