You guys need to not hate on that 1. I personally know every one of these people. Most of them live on my block. lol

I don't even know why that one would bother people, tbh. The amount of people on a person's list doesn't in any affect anyone else. It's not like you get a message that such and such became friends. Unlike the people who forever are sending out ridiculous puzzles and questionaires and updating their status every 10 minutes or we all gotta know you just got 3 of a kind in Texas Hold Em a haha. That's the dam twitter fest of Facebook. The friend (or stranger) number doesn't affect anyone else. So who cares, right?

When it first started out I thought how gay

Then as I got some adding me ; I started to think about the people who were not on my friend list and If I didnt invite them then they would feel that i had something against them. big catch 22 for a while there ;so i invite people now cause it seems like some imature school yard 'you're not in thing' otherwise and that would suck.

I have a facebook but with a second "unknown" email and a fake picture and name because I don't want to be asked by peoples I used to know a long time ago but have no more affinities with them if I can be their friends. Also, as I used to work in a summer camp, there is more than 2000-3000 peoples I used to know roaming around and I seriously do not want all of them to add me, especially as my bounds with them are very often limited in reality. Not that I want to be mean but still, I am very severe about life privacy and I won't open the whole thing to peoples I am estranged of now. I only add long time friends or meaningful peoples.
Those I dislike the most? Those playing 200000 applications, sending me constantly requests about it and where I have to fight 50 times a day the update of these applications, to me, these are a very dangerous breed of facebookers.

As for friends I got about 270 friends on facebook and I know personally without doubt over 230 probbably more. See and/have speak/spoken to in person at least 200.

I don't add random girls because they look hot. Would have like 5,000 if that happened. I know the vast majority of the people on my friends list.

lol well all things aside, I do know the vast majority of people on my list. Not even sure why that is so hard to believe. If I get somehow adding me and don't know who they are, I ask, and if it is just a random I turf them.

But the question is not whether it is gay or not, the question is what is annoying. And I suggest someone else's list shouldn't annoy you. If it does, it says more about you, then the person's who has it. Because it won't in any way affect you. You won't get messages from people on their list, and all the crap that comes from having a lot of people. You'll only get all those bothersome status changes, and constant updates and all that crap from people on your own list. So to say otherwise, it is just saying..."Oh look at him/her, he she has so many people on their friends list, well laa dee dah, they are so..." which really is merely a judgement, and not based on any inconvenience upon any one.

It's not really that hard to understand.

When i first had facebook i believe it was my first year of college right out of high school, and i had somewhere around 500-600 friends because of all my classmates and old classmates and then new college friends.. But i would just add anyone from my school that friend requested me and i didn't care.. then i got rid of facebook..

I just got facebook back almost a year ago, and i have around 200 friends right now.. I deny just about every request that comes in unless i actually care what these people have to say.. a lot of high school people would friend me and i would just deny them cause i hadn't talked to them in forever, nor did i care to now.. but i can easily see how if someone had 300 or so friends in high school, then went to college, they could easily have 700 or so friends after a few years there, you meet so many people.
