The simple fact is, even if Paulie won this by 3 or 4 rounds, he would have lost. Yes it was close and could have went either way. I and I'm sure others wouldn't argue a close decision Diaz. I can't disagree with that. In order to get the decision, PM would have had to win the fight in a manner in which he is wholly incapable of doing. However, from all his talk it seemed like he knew this coming in. If nothing else, this fight (regardless of the outcome) showed that he is still a viable fighter and I would be surprised if this did not lead to another big fight for him.

I've never really liked Malinaggi, but I actually respect him a bit more now. First, he fought a great fight and deserved the win. Second, I actually thought he was speaking the truth in his post-fight interview. We all know how crooked boxing can be sometimes and he was just telling it like it is. Plus that was just pretty entertaining seeing him go off like that. As for Diaz, he's a likeable kid but I thought he clearly lost the fight. he was nowhere near as aggressive as he should have been. maybe he knew he didn't need to be with all the hometown cooking.....

I wouldn't hesitate to say that version of Malignaggi could have beaten Hatton or at least made it a lot closer. Looks like blaming McGirt was the right thing to do lol

I've watched this fight 3 times now. I can't see how Paulie didn not win worst case 8 rounds to 4. He clearly outboxed him in this fight. This was a disgrace. We've seen worse decisions than this but this is yet again another black eye for boxing

The result of the fight was a disgrace to the State of Texas and to Boxing. Objectivity should be a Judge's standard. The TRUE Champion left the ring beltless. I sent email to the Texas Licensing Board regarding the blatant scoring of the fight. Doubt it will do any good, as money talks in Texas. Hope Mr. Diaz enjoys the HOLLOW victory. Any REAL man would immediately request a re-match under such controversary. Oh, but someone's Mamma was at ringside pulling antics for the big screen for the judges to see... Does some type of Boxing Commission investigate bank accounts, new properties, jewerly, etc. of boxing officials? On behalf of The Great State of Texas, we, as objective viewers of the 08/22/09 fight, we apologize to you, Mr. Malignaggi for having to experience Texas Politics. We are not all bad here.

I still say the best part of the night was watching ishe still throw almost nothing rocky juarez style but still find it in him to call Jacobs a bitch with bible verses tatted on his neck and stitched to the back if his shorts. Ha ha he calls the guy a bitch then covers up like one not to get hit the whole fight......comedy!!!
