Usually all in one boards are mass produced and there is not much financial incentive to trying to fix individual hardware components. It's cheaper just to replace the board. IBM does things differently though. Even if its not under warranty, try getting advice from an authorized IBM repair agent.

Just saying "no sound" doesn't eliminate software/driver problems. Do you know how to re-install a driver? You could probably google better instructions than I could provide you here.

IBM website often has very good instructions for stuff like this.
