Previous post indicated Mr. Diaz should request, no, demand, a re-match, for being awarded a belt under such questionable circumstances. It was a HOLLOW victory and the TRUE CHAMPION of the night, without a doubt, around the World, was Mr. Malignaggi. It has to do with a moral compass and the heart of a true champion. Have watched the bout twice today and there was no doubt Mr. Malignaggi was the victor. I felt strongly enough to join this forum to protest the match, which is something I never imagined doing in the past. If it's enough of a question for someone like me, the result must be frustrating for someone who has far more expertise than I do with the Sport of Boxing. I am a middle-aged woman with responsibilities far more important than posting here, but saw the miscarriage of justice first hand, for myself. This sport has been tarnished because of Texas judging, therefore, an embarassment to Texans. Mr. Malignaggi deserved more respect, IMHO. A re-match can take place in a neutral place, without Texas judges. But something like that won't happen unless it's an advantage for the "GB", who was also very disappointing... It is my hope that Mr. Malignaggi laughs all of the way to the bank as a result of this robbery in the ring. My suggestion to him...keep your right peppering a bit more, tiger. It is also my suggestion to all boxing commissions around the World to not allow the Family members of a competitor in the ring within 100 feet of the ring or judges, sitting, unless they are team members going into the ring during breaks. Keep it clean.
