This is a good idea and it reminds me of back in the day when as an almost teen I saw the Gomez-Sanchez fight in the Puerto Rican Theatre in the South Bronx. What an atmosphere!! Mexicans and Ricans all in one place cheering wildly. One of my earliest and most vivid boxing memories.
This is great news for the sport. I really wish they could gte big fights on the big screen more often.
I remember my dad telling me how he would watch SRL and Hagler fights in theaters and watch the fights live something that would have otherwise been far too expensive to do. I think that may have been a reason for boxing's popularity in those days. If more fights were shown in theaters, I think boxing would become a lot more popular.
They should have put the malanaggi fight in theaters.....the result was just about a fake as a rocky movie anyways.

i heard about this today at work.. SO AWESOME.. and thanks for the link for participating theaters.. there is one right near my house.. I doubt it but if anyone is near RI they should come down/up and party!
