Mike Tyson is the biggest name there I believe.

Was thinking Tyson at first but he may fall into that 'not what he once was' category as opposed to fully shot.He was still winning straps, unifying and yet to fight Holyfield. At that time very few if any were giving Evander a chance, openly fearing for his health, saying he was on the fast down slide.Good call on Saad. His candle burned at both ends with the Lopez,Johnson among others wars.Sad the way he went out, hanging on for so long as a stepping stone 'name'.

I was going to post Tyson but he won titles AND was at least top 5 after 1990, he wasn't really shot until he was 30 when he lost to Holyfield twice and even then he was still able to win a title here and there.
There have been any number of heavyweights other than Tyson who were "shot" before the end of their 20's:
Domminick Guinn - 29 when he lost to Monte Barrett, never recovered
John Tate - 25 when he lost to Mike Weaver, never recovered
Donovan 'Razor' Ruddock - wasn't the same after the 2nd loss to Mike Tyson at age 28
Joe Mesi - he just misses the cut having only just turned 30 when he squeaked by Monte Barrett, he wasn't the same after that either.

Yeah Mike Tyson wasn't shot in his 20s he wasn't as good after he lost to Buster Douglas, hell in fact he only lost 1 fight until he met Holyfield in '96 at 30 years old. So I don't know about Tyson being shot. More like underachiever.

George Foreman. If he wasn't shot after Ali, then it was just a case of Ali destroying the myth.

Eddie Cook....thought this one would be something lasting.Burned like a meteor
Humberto Gonzalez....not 'shot' in war with Sorjaturong, gave and took.Just think it all caught up and career was a wrap at 29
The Ruelas Brothers.......Jeff Fenech. The 'comeback' Nelson event aside.
