    that's terrible. you hear of fighters ending up dead broke all the time. rocky lockridge for example.
    yeah. It may interest you to know about F.I.S.T. an effort by Gerry Cooney to help retired boxers find jobs. If you don't alrady know. Here is one link, there's plenty more that can be googled.

    It's an old article, I honestly don't know what he's doing now. I assume F.I.S.T. is still going.
    i've heard of that. Cooney's a good guy. very nice thing for him to do. i suspect savvy guys like hopkins will end up financially set after his boxing career. not piss it away like holyfield who's been having a lotta financial problems.

    well, seeing as how you mentioned Holyfield. He won't go broke like Tyson. All Holy has to to is downgrade from a 40 room palace to a 20 room mansion, sell a few of his luxury cars and a bunch of his jewelry, and he'll be flush again. That's my take on it anyways.
