A couple of things JMM does have on PBF is that PBF doesn't really think JMM can beat him. Thats overconfidence. So the respect that should be there is now a disadvantage. I don't think PBF fully realizes what kind of fight is in front of him. Also PBF will have been without a fight in about 2 years. He will have fight rust to some degree. Sparring helps lessens the rust but it is far different. And the size difference between PBF and JMM is very much less than the size difference between Cotto and Pac. People are really overstating this difference. I think PBF will win but I will not be one of the people shocked if this fight is a dogfight. Marquez has fought all styles, never been dominated, and has knocked out two great champions who had never been stopped, and this while moving up in weight. I actually expect this fight to be a grueling one. I will be more surprised if either fighter dominates(winning by 6 rounds or more) or wins by stoppage. JMM is the real deal and has a very great argument for #1 p4p. I am glad that PBF gave JMM this fight because he is very deserving of such a payday and limelight. Without this fight he would probably be once again overlooked, not given due credit, and knocking at doors.

Also the stuff in this about how important speed will be and how much he is working on it is interesting, especially when viewed after that article about his trainer basically saying he hasn't got any.

Marquez is a warrior, I've come to respect him an awful lot over recent times, especially since the Barrera fight. He seems to be getting better and better. It's amazing looking at the punch stats for the Diaz fight. Marquez was throwing a good 80-90 punches a round which I thought was just brilliant. Marquez seems to be getting more and more agressive and it seems to be paying dividends. He strikes right on the button and consistently. The opponents are just wilting at the minute. I can't see Mayweather disintegrating and it's hard to tell how Marquez will look. But if he can carry some of this momentum into the fight, he might well make it very interesting.

By the sounds of it, he trains like a beast.
