If you take Sky's scorecard and the ref's scorecard then you will find the actual result somewhere in the middle.

I'm not suprised that the ref scored the fight to Fury, I can't for the life of me see how he can do two jobs; Fury threw twice as many punches.

McDermott my very well have won (I wasn't keeping score) but this fight was a lot closer that Sky would have you believe.

I disagree totaally mate, Jim Watt couldnt get his tongue any further up Furys bumhole, look at the stats Mcdermott landed more shots better percentage the harder/cleaner shots, David Haye had him winning by 4 rounds who was ringside, the guys in the studio had him winning the fight. I dont take any notice of Jim Watt he is a nob jockey, i watch the fight and it was a robbery plain and simple imo. Also Fury's team told him he needs a ko in the final round they new he was behind well everyone else except the ref.

Also just reading another report after the ninth round on the betting exchanges the odds were as follows:

    John Mcdermott 1/18

    Tyson Fury 12/1

This was a robbery of the highest order. How Fury could have the gaul to say he felt he won with a straight face is beyond me. Loved Maloney's analogy at the end. Even Dick Turpin wore a mask.... Haha. LMAO......

Check Tyson drawing the Prizefighter in Vegas, Tyson asking who all the fighters are, hes just drawn out Danny Williams and said " Williams is the champ, aww god bless him. "

That was a disgrace. The BBBC should be shot but what'll happen is Maloney will get grief from the BBBC for what he said. Whether they gave it to Fury because they're hoping for a few big nights for British boxing and want to keep his 0 or whether the ref took money that was terrible.

I know Sjy couldn't stop telling us is was just his seventh fight but I thought Fury was exposed. He's nothing special.

EDIT : I'm a little bit drunk hope I'm not being libellous.

A strange decision by the ref in terms of margin, maybe full stop. I thought McDermott did more than enough, yet on my scorecard i had Fury's last round edging him infront. Really can't explain why.

McDermott's an awful fighter, always holding, spoliing, grapling, he's a doorman, a clubber, nothing more, but he made Fury look ordinary, and wobbled him three or four times, too.

Those writing Fury off after this performance, however, are extremely naive, but, i must say, those bigging him up as a title contender, even just at domestic level, at this point in his career are too. He's not ready yet. He'll eventually knock all these clubbers out, but he's jumped up too fast.

For all McDermott's faults (and his build perhaps makes him look worse than he is, as the commentators alluded to) there's a difference between knocking out some Latvian/Polish/whatever journeyman in three and then going into a 10-rounder against a proven opponent.

Get Fury in with some guys who are durable and might take him the distance, who can test him but perhaps not as much as McDermott did tonight. He needs experience of going 8 & 10 rounds, it should be a case of building that up, not learning on the job with a title to defend. Tyson's time for a British title should've been a year from now. Too much, too soon.

Saying all this, to award him the win by so many rounds is scandalous. The powers-that-be should really be looking into it. If it would have been by a round there'd still be questions, by SIX, that is absolutely absurd.

I had it McDermott by 3 rounds...Tyson fury is not that bad, but he took on a tough veteran, McDermott is better than most of people think. he's nothing special, but better than average club fighters .

Tyson took this step too soon, I really wonder was it that good for his motivation ? everybody knows he got a gift decision tonight, he will be probably be put in danger in his next fight should he face again good opposition. let's not even foreseen the damage should he take another step up in the competition anf fight agaisnt the young contender in Germany.

I would take 4-6 easy fights but against durable opposition and work hard on my jab if I was him.

For what I've seen so far, David Price is far more better ;-)

Jim Watt still had him losing though and Sky are now Haye's paymasters.

My main point is really about refs scoring; and it really is an impossible job. If someone throws twice as many punches, even if they aren't all clean then if you'e in the middle trying to ref the fight (and it was a busy night due to all the clinching etc.) it's got to have an impression on you.

As I said I wasn't keeping score, although I know which rounds I as disagreeing with Watt. Mcdermott was certainly leading going with two rounds to go and Fury won those last two.

It was a lot closer than people are making out.

I agree with what you said about the Sky commentary team. They were anti Fury IMO.
Thats not to say that I thought that Tyson won it but it was a lot closer than Jim Watt would have had you think.

    Robbery.

I could not believe the result. I was there and we all had Mcdermott well ahead with cleaner work and way more effective aggression.

As Larry Olubamiwo's close friends we were all discussing where Fury is weak and easily exploitable

    * Jabs - Mcdermott was outjabbing him for god sake
    * Straight Right - Alllll dayyyy lonnng...Fury is a sucker for them
    * Agression - He does not like being backed up and doesn't deal with it too well, moving back towards the ropes in straight lines.
    * Flinching - When he gets hit he LOOKS AWAY!! What the hell?? Big left hook that he doesn't see...over!

I told Larry that he should push for a fight with him asap for the following reasons :-

Straight Right Power - If he lands an eighth of the straight rights that John landed on Fury last night, it's all she wrote and we saw last night...he eats right hands like they're going out of fashion.

Aggression - He is way more aggressive than Mcdermott is and would not give Fury the breathing space when he has him hurt.

Larry needs to work on his jab a little more and that is it...Fury is his bitch.
