I don't really know if I agree that felons shouldn't be allowed to carry weapons either, I mean aren't they the people most likely to be shot? They should have to get a permit like anyone else but it is pretty much a fact that if they won't let you get one legally you will have to get one illegally in order to protect yourself.

Then avoid those areas where you have a chance of being robbed, If you live in a high crime area then don't carry valuables so if it does come up nyou don't lose things of worth.

I find it funny that I am in high crime areas everyday. Jamicia Queens, Queens Bridge, Williamsburg Brooklyn, Newburgh, Troy.

I have a permit and carry a .38 Snub and have pulled it out on someone once in 15 years and that was in a decent neighborhood and it on a guy who had his tool in his hand wacking it off in front of my wife and kids.

Yet Kirkland has one encounter after another

If your not hanging around the wrong crowd, acting the wrong way or doing the wrong things the situatons don't come up too often.

He has brought this all upon himself.
It is easy to say someone should simply remove themselves from the area, but some people grow up in places and that is all they know. Thankfully you haven't had to pull your weapon anymore than that one time. I also agree that hanging with the wrong crowd has a lot to do with people getting into these kinds of situations. It does happen though, I've had guns pulled on me a few times and it was never a result of doing anything wrong or running with the wrong crowd, I just happened to be in the wrong place at the right time when it has happened. I just found it odd that you would call these two people thugs. I didn't call you out saying anything bad, simply because I thought this might be the case, we don't agree with what acting like a thug is. You likely know more about Kirkland's previous troubles and in his case maybe he does act like a thug, just not from what I've seen. Cloud on the other hand I have no idea how he was acting like a thug. I wasn't trying to draw you into this thread just referencing why I began to reply to the thread, and that I got sidetracked from that.
I kind of understand what your saying mate but fact is the man has the ability to take himself out of those situations but chooses not to. He is no longer finacially obligated to staying in the areas where the trouble looms, he can make a better life for himself but rather not....Too busy playing big Willy style instead of focusing on the right thing so yes he is drawn into these things...Why have a gun if you are not near an area where you may need it....Millions and millions of people do not carry guns and they do not fall into situations where they are approached where they are put in danger....Why they stay away from the hot spots.....

If Kirkland put half as much energy into working on his defense he would be a champion already
