That's made up for the money I lost on that fight.

No-one thats followed the fat mans career could have thought he would come out firing with the bit between his teeth. Poor funker was "robbed"

It was amazing, wasn't it? When they came together before the start of the fight his waistband was six inches below his tits and I thought then he's not going to last long. But he didn't half get stuck into him. I think people like Danny Williams are going to be gagging for a fight with Fury now.

I still have no idea who Tyson Fury is. I don't think I care after reading through this. Yuck.

Only just got in from a night out, but given the state of this it sounds like a shocker. Will have to watch it tomorrow on megavideo or youtube.

I'm not surprised by this in the least though, I've seen the hand of Prick Hennessy hanging over Fury's career (I refuse to refer to him as Tyson). If you actually watch his early fights, there's at least 2 that have pretty awful, premature stoppages when the ref jumps in as Hennessy screams for him to do so from the side. In one, he actually stopped when a fighter dropped his hands sarcastically after Fury's 5th low blow in a row. I mean none of those guys was going to win, but it seemed manufactured to giving him a great KO percentage.

Very hard on McDermott, who's a significantly better fighter than his physique shows (although he looked better at the weigh-in for this one). I thought both Williams fights were fairly close, but he does have a history of getting jobbed, perhaps because he doesn't look how people feel a fighter should. Add to this fight & the Williams fights, the Mark Krence fight where he was again on the wrong end of a poor bit of judgement from the ref. To my mind Matt Skelton is the only guy to have convincingly beaten him.

    Poor fat bastard

I dont take any notice of Jim Watt he is a nob jockey, i watch the fight and it was a robbery plain and simple imo. Also Fury's team told him he needs a ko in the final round they new he was behind well everyone else except the ref.
Jim Watt still had him losing though and Sky are now Haye's paymasters.

My main point is really about refs scoring; and it really is an impossible job. If someone throws twice as many punches, even if they aren't all clean then if you'e in the middle trying to ref the fight (and it was a busy night due to all the clinching etc.) it's got to have an impression on you.

As I said I wasn't keeping score, although I know which rounds I as disagreeing with Watt. Mcdermott was certainly leading going with two rounds to go and Fury won those last two.

It was a lot closer than people are making out.

I agree with what you said about the Sky commentary team. They were anti Fury IMO.
Thats not to say that I thought that Tyson won it but it was a lot closer than Jim Watt would have had you think.

    Robbery.

I could not believe the result. I was there and we all had Mcdermott well ahead with cleaner work and way more effective aggression.

As Larry Olubamiwo's close friends we were all discussing where Fury is weak and easily exploitable

    * Jabs - Mcdermott was outjabbing him for god sake
    * Straight Right - Alllll dayyyy lonnng...Fury is a sucker for them
    * Agression - He does not like being backed up and doesn't deal with it too well, moving back towards the ropes in straight lines.
    * Flinching - When he gets hit he LOOKS AWAY!! What the hell?? Big left hook that he doesn't see...over!

I told Larry that he should push for a fight with him asap for the following reasons :-

Straight Right Power - If he lands an eighth of the straight rights that John landed on Fury last night, it's all she wrote and we saw last night...he eats right hands like they're going out of fashion.

Aggression - He is way more aggressive than Mcdermott is and would not give Fury the breathing space when he has him hurt.

Larry needs to work on his jab a little more and that is it...Fury is his bitch.

David Haye is an undisputed lineal Cruiserweight champion, & he's yet to call himself the best HW in the world unlike Fury. I wish you & Lefty would stop completely disregard the facts in your quest to praise Haye/Klitschkos or to degrade Haye/Klitschkos.

....David might not have said word for word "I'm the best heavyweight in the world" but he did say he was going to have an easy time going through everyone in the division, ergo Haye did IMPLY he's the best heavyweight in the world and he has also tried to build up the likes of Monte Barrett to support his claim.

Back to Tye Fields.....I mean Tyson Fury....yeah he does suck quite a bit and I agree with Lefty. I was initially in shock when I saw that Lefty does have the ability to perceive who is and isn't a fraud...but it just made me question why has he never been able to do that with David Haye who obviously loves to talk more than fight.

You actually thing Tyson Fury Fraud and David Haye have something in common ? They couldn't be further apart.

I agree with Skel. Your just obsessive of this man named David Haye. I honestly don't know what it is with him that makes you go on and on about him.

When I degrade the biitch that is Wladimir Klitchsko I have good reason too. His awful slappy style with that jab, the rare use of the right hand and how boring his fights are. I can back that up. It's all evident in his last 10 fights.

Lyle just mouths off how David Haye is a fraud because he got beat by Carl Thompson. 1 fight. Funny thing is he's the only person that actually holds that loss against Haye. He had like 11 fights and gassed out.

Hopefully now people will stop overhyping and overratting Tyson Fury. Id like to see a young heavyweight come up and dominate to become the next dominant heavyweight as much as everyone. But it aint him and was never going to be. Hes to par with a Tye Fields imo in terms of skill though he has a better chin. Hype is fine but there has to be substance to back it up. Having a great name and being tall isnt substance, is a marketing tool that too many people bought into. That said, good luck to him. Maybe he can probably win a euro title of something down the line. Hes only 21 so hes young enough to improve. He has heart and a fanbase, he just needs to develop his skill.
