For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

I think despite the complaints at the start, I reckon most boxing fans (not those who are fans of a single fighter) will be buying this one. It has often remained throughout a mass of fans of a certain fighter from the Phillipines who have said this match-up is terrible & that we should all not buy it for 'the sake of boxing'(anyone thinks I'm chattin shit is either new or has forgotten the April-July period on this site)

Just to correct you regarding PACFANS who are encouraging people not to buy the fight.... as far as I can remember it was ONLY SADDOBOXER who was doing that. He got banned and after that no one has been promoting about not buying the fight here.
Generalizing Filipinos or pacfans on an issue is something that I detest and hope you refrain from doing that unless you're quite sure.![]()

when is the UFC gonna realise its place alongside such sports as the WWF,WWE and understand though it is completely capable of packaging and selling off PPV shows to the masses it is never EVER going to compete with the legendary sport of boxing which has and always will be the number 1 combat sport on the planet!!
one dangerous horrible bloke

We both know it wasn't just him, he was just the ringleader. Quinito, levi#1boxingfan, fan johnny, cnote, as well as the scourge of 10 post posters who showed up all made arguments why we should not buy the fight. 'It was boring tactical fight', 'Pac-Mayweather is all that matters' blah blah blah.
You know very well Bruce that I have been fairly restrained in criticizing Pacfans, so please stop acting like you're an oppressed minority. I'll admit this was one of XaduBoxer's bullshit actions that you were smart enough not to get involved in. However, you know there was a reason a special board was created, to deal with dross like that & not from just XaduBoxer.

speaking of this fight being in the theaters i just found out a theater down here is showing it im def going.

He's just pandering to his flock, riding coat tails. To me its not about 'defending' the fight but recongnozing a carnival barking fool.Lets face it,we hate paying for any one fight...funny how he forgets that boxing has undercards as well....but as far as athletes and lifeblood, its quality over quanity.Boxing has huge problems and will not stay the same, but its not going anywhere.....years from now Dana White will be the answer to some trivia question.
Well, Dana White picked the wrong card on both accounts. Look at the UFC 103 card and then the Mayweather/Marquez card. The boxing card is loaded and the UFC card is mediocre at best. But I choose not to put too much into Dana White speaking. He is just a loud mouth because he has been given a nice amount of power. I like MMA a lot so I will not put it down because of Dana White's mouth once again opened. MMA is nice and so is the UFC. As far as I see the only thing wrong with UFC and MMA is Dana White. Cut him out and we have a great sport which realizes it can co-exist with boxing.

Yup. Just barking is right Spicoli. And I'd much rather watch the quality of fighting on a great card like this then a buncha 1 or maybe 3 round weener wars.
I think people really forget how much skill is involved in the seemingly simple process of throwing and defending punches within the squared circle. Mano a mano. It's more of an art then many realize. It doesn't surprise me when I see someone come along and think switching gloves to 4 oz might make it better, or creating some kinda new marketing technique will improve it, etc. Well the fact is, it won't. It is already an amazing process of pure skill, athleticism, will, near torturous training all woven into an amazing challenge of one opponent against another, in one of the most primal of human nature's motivations, to battle, to conquer.
The fact that it is simplistic in nature is what has held it's appeal for so long, and why it will continue to. Other fads will come and go. Products of cultural trends. Enigmatic people will come and go. Boxing will remain.
I don't generally get too pissed at Dana White with all of his blatherings, but I found this one particularly offensive. And not just for the out and out disrespect he has for the fighters, but for the disrespect he is starting to show for boxing, period. Without it he'd be nothing.
And long after Dana White is gone, and he is little more then an after thought or trivia question, boxing will still be. Of this I am certain.

None of the theaters have picked up on doing that in Australia from what I know. Its a great idea. I may suggest it to the owners of Village out here I actually know them I worked in their house and have her number somewhere.
I've always been up for it; to buy this in.
Im probably buying into an afternoon of depression; but you never know ,just in case of a Mexican miracle.

Know what you mean Andre , not big over here to have the theatre thing happening. I think it depends on the sport and the country , as you know if it's AFL it's eveywhere but it's still a minority for boxing in the grand scheme of things.
