Not only did he lose this car, and still owe money on it, but just this past March he was selling his new limousine for half the price on Ebay.
I don't have a direct link to the story, sorry, but I found my post that I made about it on another site, and just grabbed it from there. The pics I took off the Ebay page that was set up for it.
Why would you sell a basically brand new limo for half the price if you didn't need the cash?
FLOYD MAYWEATHER'S 2008 ESCALADE STRETCH LIMO ON SALE FOR $125,000
By Editor | March 16, 2009
FIGHTHYPE \\ A FIGHT IS A FIGHT \\ BOXING AND MMA INTERVIEWS AND BREAKING NEWS
Although there's still no word on whether or not retired pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweater Jr. plans on returning to the ring, it appears the undefeated fighter has started Spring cleaning a little early this year as his 2008 Cadillac Escalade 200" stretch limousine is up for auction on eBay for a mere $125,000.
Built by Royal Coach Builders and originally costing over $215,000, the always flashy and flamboyant Mayweather Jr. spared no expense in customizing the 22-passenger pearl white limousine. With only 3,300 actual miles and "Mayweather Promotions" emblazoned on the windows, the vehicle comes equipped with the following:
Ostrich leather throughout
Lighted dance floor
5 bars
3 TVs, including a 42" plasma
Full telephone communication system
Running boards
Flip-up sunroof
Bose RDS audio system
Kicker amps and subwoofers
3 Champagne bottle holders wrapped in ostrich leather
Rear couch with heated seats
Rear climate control
20" Dub wheels
Much, much more...
With rumors running rampant that Mayweather is eager to return to the ring due to financial reasons, could the appearance of this luxurious limousine on eBay mean the return of the king is immenent?
That said, getting a $215,000 limo for nearly half the price is a pretty good deal, so if you've got a spare $125,000 laying around, be sure to make an offer or buy it now!

...don't laugh too hard guys. At the end of the day floyd is loosing stuff most of us will never be able to even afford. Better to have had and loose to never have at all. Bankruptcy or not the guy has earned everything he has. How many of you have ever even owned a car nicer than the one's he'll eventually loose or wreck for that matter. Don't hate to the point to where it's silly. I don't see any camera's filming any of our cribs...congragulate and do what he does if it bothers people so much. Floyd has no copyright on money or sucess. Go get your own instead of coveting his. (not spelled right i know).

The combination of people that are not very smart, with a lot of money, and you get this result almost every time.
That is why many NFL and NBA team make their rookies attend classes about handling this large amount of money.
Think of the heavyweight Champions who did not die broke. It is a very short list:
Dempsey, Tunney, and Marciano. I would expect Lewis and Foreman to join them.

I feel the urge to do a video with me in front of my Hyundai Accent, saying: "This really is paid for along with 2 years of registration and insurance............bitches"
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

it says floyds last payment was made in Feb 2008 so it took them over a year to repo it?? and just so happen to announce it a week before his fight. sounds like bullshit to me.
