amat, Oregon couldn't beat Boisie State, how are they going to stop Tech much less score on them? The reason they run the spread is because the Pac10(bar USC) like the Big12 in that they don't believe in defense.
When Jonathan Dwyer can run over, around, and through FSU, Miami, Clemson, and Miss St. then he would have no trouble with Oregon
Both Oregon and Boise could definitely beat Tech, probably would, but they would be interesting bowl games. Tech was a bit fortunate to beat Clemson at home, they really didn't do all that much offensively there, its a bit easy to figure out.

Anyone want to do a mini prediction contest? I'm sure there would not be too many involved (off hand I can think of Van, Amat, maybe Lyle, maybe VD) but we can just keep the scores week by week and the winner will get a pat on the back from Lyle.
If anyone wants to do it, I'm gonna go by spreads and just fairly meaningful games. Not sure if there would be a set amount of games each week or not.
Winners get 5 points or something I guess and we can do it like the prediction contest, you can pick a joker for each week to put on the one you feel most sure about and also a star game, just the biggest game of the week, I'll choose I guess, and you get double points on both the joker and star.
Home team in bold, favorites always on left
Arkansas -1 Georgia
BYU -6.5 FSU
Auburn -4.5 West Virginia
Notre Dame -11 Michigan State
Virginia Tech -3.5 Nebraska STAR
Oregon -6.5 Utah
Texas -17.5 Texas Tech
Clemson -6.5 Boston College
Oregon State -3.5 Cincinatti
Iowa -6 Arizona
If anyone wants to do it obviously we can change it up some. Make it more selective, , although granted that would probably work itself out as the season gets deeper and bigger games come up.
Also we could just go heads up, no spreads.
If you don't want to do it obviously you're feedback is irrelevant.
Also if we get some responses in today from the people I suspect might want to play, again the Amats, Vans, etc, then we could add Georgia Tech-Miami to the list since its tonight. I made VT-Nebraska the star game, nothing really stood out this week. I thought about adding Florida -26 Tennessee but didn't. Also obviously people can comment on the list of games especially if I get too SEC obsessed or something.

I'm in, you should make a separate thread with all caps. Also, I agree that Tennessee/Florida should not be on. I doubt we will get this going before tonight.
U
Lyle you are making me root against Georgia Tech with these ridiculous comments of yours. I would have been rooting for Miami anyways.
Did you go to that Alabama opener in Atlanta?
This will be the biggest college football game I've ever been to.
