Kinda smells doesn't it? I bet they will not make him either.
Marquez is being used as cannon fodder.
I've seen fighters come in over-weight before, but this one is very strange.
Mayweather 146, Marquez 142
LAS VEGAS - The long-awaited weighin for Mayweather-Marquez showdown finally took place at 3:15 p.m. Pacific Time at the MGM Grand's Garden Arena, the site for Saturday's 12-round welterweight fight.
Floyd Mayweather Jr. weighed in at 146 pounds, his usual weight for the welterweight limit.
Juan Manuel Marquez tipped the 142 pounds, just two pounds over the junior welterweight limit.
Since the fight was made in May of this year, there has been speculation as to how much the fighters were contracted to weighin.
The Mayweather camp maintained that it was a welterweight bout with the usual 147-pound limit, while Golden Boy Promotions, the promoter for Saturday's fight, claimed that the fighters agreed to a 144-pound catchweight.
Obviously, Team Mayweather was right. It is not known if the Mayweather side agreed to pay Team Marquez any bonus/penalty money for every pound that Mayweather came in over 144 pounds. According to Keith Kizer of the Nevada State Athletic Commission there is no such agreement.
Did you see Dela Hoya's face when it was announced 146?
Smell bull shit here also Marquez was trying to say something about the weight but it looked like no one would listen to him.
oh no floyd is 2 pounds heavier omg omg omg
You know something Kel, I'm calling Bullshit on your asss. YOU SHUT THE FUK UP!!!! JMM signed the contracts did he notWhat do you care anyway? You really think 144-146 is going to be that dramatic? The way your carrying on does nothing but minimize all JMM efforts, training
Nothing was ever officialy announced it was all speculation apparently. Keith Kizer said Maywether was right it was a Welterweight fight with no side agreement/penalty for coming in 144
Everyone heard 144, I read 144 in many articles and once all bets are made and the fight is paid for.........Floyd is fighting at his ideal weight! Well fuck me!
Even the 24/7 mentioned the 144 weight anyway, so shut up, sit the fuck down, and watch Floyd beat another cherry picked poor fucker who has EVERYTHING againsed him.
Run with it, bitch tits!

Tomorrow night Floyd will be 149.
Marquez will lose a pound to 141.
HBO didn't want the weigh-in too embarrassing so they gave Marquez a chance to go and eat doughnuts for an hour and try to make weight again![]()
What a load of bullshiit.
Floyd Mayweather is an absoloute disgrace to boxing. And disresepctful towards Juan Manuel Marquez. What a fukking cock that man is. If 144 is agreed then it should be stuck to. Who the fukk is he to take the weight into his own hands. I hope his ass gets fined a million dollars for this.
It will, I don't care what you or anyone else says. Obviously they try and promote the fight as if both fighters have a chance (which I never buy into, you will see when the fight was announced it was already a mis-match in my mind) but this takes the fucking piss. Three of my mates rang after the weigh-in asking why I never told them and other boxing forums are all asking the same shit, nobody knew about this fucking bullshit weight agreement.
I was hoping this would be closer.. Marquez even if he does put on more weight is not going to look any more ripped that's for sure... Mayweather could weight 154 pounds fight night...
Even if Floyd has to pay a big sum for weight 2 pounds over the 144 agreed weight, it won't be as devestating to his wallet in the long run than a loss in his comeback fight.... If not struggling to get to 144 saved him a lot of pressure on his body, then it was well worth the price of having a much bigger advantage in the fight...
That's the point of having a catchweight though...! So the bigger stronger guy actually needs to get their weight down to a point where it's not that big of an advantage for the lighter smaller guy...
But those pics show Marquez has a big uphill battle from the start..
