I have got a great point on why he is allowed to fight with a messive beard though have'nt i?I mean how can you hit a target that is not easly seen. His beard is inches thick soo its a advantage for him for sure.In boxing its not allowed period, soo how come he can get away with it

Casamayor's beard looked pretty long in Marquez fight. But maybe that's blurred memory on my part as I had a few in me.

If you ask me, after I've seen him getting k.o'ed with an ordinary jab, I would say somewhere between cardboard to very suspect. Sure we need to see him fight an average puncher and getting tagged to have our final answer but for te moment, it doesn't look solid and massive.

You've got maybe a slight point about being able to see it and hitting it mate, but like I said the main issue with facial hair is that it can do some damage/blur vision if it gets in your eyes and be abrasive to cuts.

Personally, in MMA, I have no problems with somebody arriving with a Slice type of beard; chin harder to hit? probably. A bit of padding to smother the power a bit? possibly a bit. Abrasive a pain in the ass if in your eyes? Sure.
Come with it if you want, I am all o.k with it , but also knows one thing: I will get every single advantage that I can out of it, including pulling it, holding myself on it if needed, pulling it and striking it into your own eyes.

They deserve to have it pulled on etc if they're going to get it in your face on purpose... problem is the ref may not even spot it and if he does it's easy to say it wasn't intentional - damage still done.

He's gonna notice you grabbing a beard and pulling it and if he does you can't say it was an accident! :P

There's no doubt in my mind that its cheating having a beard that long,we all know that to successfully KO someone sweetly is to either aim for the cranium,Temple or the button(chin)and it clear to see that Kimbo's chin is well hidden under a carpet full of hair. Its got to be trim, does in boxing soo why the hell not in UFC or MMA?Rules are rules,i have a point i know i have!

I don'T think it's illegal in MMA though, I remember Gracie pulling legally Kimo's ponytail galore and even tearing it apart without any sanction ... so expect me to do the same to Kimo if ever I have to fight him
