    Default Double standards.

I apologize in advance if this is not the proper place to address this - mods, please feel free to move this to the correct corner of the forum.

Not all that long ago, the forum was abuzz with a complete backlash against Pacfans and the (admittedly) overzealous, overbearing support shown for their favorite fighter. Some people complained, some people kept silent, and some even left the forum in the wake of this controversy.

My problem is that some of the people who spearheaded this campaign to outlaw the unabashed Pac lovers have recently displayed similar behavioral traits. Some long-standing members have begun to insult and deride anyone who disagrees with their opinion about certain fighters.

I don't care what anyone says - to start in with the insults and name calling is asinine, juvenile, and truly has no place on a fine forum such as this. If someone doesn't agree with your opinion, that's fine - just don't resort to grade-school behavior in response. With the muppets, it's expected. The long-standing members should know better.

I may or may not have been drinking, but this statement is so vague that I have no idea who you're talking about.

I totally agree with your post. We should at least try and be civil even if we disagree. Though we do all slip up every now and again!

If your referring to the pbf threads then i think thats a bit unfair considering the fight only just happened and fans are allowed to be happy and excited because their fighter won. The difference is pacfans did it all the time whether it was just after a fight or even if pac hadnt even signed on to fight anybody they would just talk constantly about how good he is.

To be fair, it wasn't all Pacfans. Just a handful of idiots that made the entire group look bad. It's something that's bound to happen with any extremely popular fighter or sports team.

Good points each way.I do think some of it was pent up...your fav fighter coming back after long layoff and back in the spotlight. But def should not deterioate into bs insulting generalizations and hater this and hater that.

I have boo-koo problems with Floyds theatrics and some of the godthink he's praised with but in fairness he has more threads, topics put up that aim at him as a boxer as well as personally where as most of the negativity surrounding Manny is pointed at the gnad huggers who troll it up oblivious to the rest of the sport and little interest in dicussing things. Not so much the fighter save for one or two exceptions.Though the catchweight stuff is creeping up.Lets hope we dont begin to see threads about "Floyd just got out of the shower" and 'what are his favorite shoes'....

I haven't been here that long but wasn't those ridiculous threads started mainly by Saddoboxer? It seems that the Pac fans like Julius Rain, Bruce Lee, C-Lo are more moderate and has good knowledge on the fight game and aren't the ones to start up threads like that. In fact after Saddoboxer was banned I hardly ever see any ridiculous threads and this section bombarded with Pacquiao threads.

Expletive-boxer had many forms...like a petty doppleganger. And his exit was a breath of fresh air.Their are indeed very level headed Boxing fans who are huge on Manny,C-lo and company being amongst them.hmm Hey you know whats funny, when you hit spell check, S**doboxers name comes up as "Sandbox" Tell the cat

Please note that this isn't aimed at any one specific person! I've enjoyed being a (very small) part of this forum for awhile now, and one of the things I have always loved about it is the tolerance and respect shown by the people that have been here forever and a day. I know people get excited when their favorite fighter is in action - I do! - but I hate seeing people resort to calling each other stupid or idiotic just because there's a difference of opinion.

Can't we all just get along?

Yup, I've just been a victim of it just today, but I just usually ignore them. That's why I sometimes jokingly refer to this board as 'Children's Board.' But if someone let out their hatred or whatever on me and if that makes them happy, I'm obliged. I'm a happier man just thinking that there is one less unhappy soul because of me. And of course, I don't answer them if I think they're not talking much sense. It's no use in engaging in a senseless debate...

Ok, fellas, keep 'em coming but I'd be happier if you could just tell me why you are angry 'cause sometimes I'm totally clueless...

Yeah Im with you on the childsih poking of names thing.

In regards to some PAc fans getting booted I think it was more about two of them over taking all the threads on the main board and turning them into the same old Pac argument ;Pac could, Pac would, your man couldnt, your man wouldnt, we know best ,you dont know zip style of thing.

Was a stroke of brilliance putting up a seperate Pac board, it was a magnet that drew the negatives out of this board.

Then when they re polarized and returned and snuck in backwards pretendig to be poisitve, the newly installed anti hugger eleoctro magnet sucked them clean out of the forum!
