Opeth is one of those bands that I feel like I should really like them, but for whatever reason I just can't get into them at all.

Iron Maiden sucks. I could record myself trying to replicate one of their songs with flatulence and it would sounds better than the original. And the Doors did Roadhouse Blues.

That's righ The Doors thank you; not sure why nvm it's because Healey did it in Roadhouse the movie.

I was never a Maiden fan at all but Bruce has a tremendous voice and Hallowed be thy NAme is a good jam dude. Opeth is a mood type band for alot of people; plus you don't seem to like those long songs they do; but S.O.F. is short and sweet give it a try.
I don't necessarily mind long songs, Pink Floyd is one of my all-time favorite bands. But I do find that if long songs aren't done just right that they get boring in a hurry. I assume S.O.F. is an album?

And how can you not like At the Gates? Slaughter of the Soul is a great album.

I liked... oh fuck what was the songs name...I think it had the line "...an ocean of pain in you" in the chorus. That was an ok Opeth song.

Dont worry this will get him back Fenster!

He loves Jethro Tull dont you Lyle

Listen to this and tell me it isnt a masterful remake of Bach's 'Suite in E Minor for Lute'.

Two very rare ones the writer Carl Perkins playing it.

And very rare Ozzy and Sabbath doing it. Listen to Tony Immoni going off on lead.

Sorry Fenster, The Darkness rocked that song out

Andre, no thank you, a lot of people like Ozzy and all but he shouldn't cover that. Jethro Tull is crap

The Animals version of House of the Rising Sun outdid the earlier Bob Dylan version by quite a bit.

There is tons of excellent covers which I've seen and discovered here; If I would have to share one and only one with you here, I think that it would be :

    Johnny Cash - hurt

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=clq01TXQR0s

To me, this cover of NIN is perhaps one of the three best cover songs ever did, this song has the power to comfort me when I am sad and to make me melancholic when I am doing fine.
