A true welterweight would be a start.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
it doesnt matter who Floyd fights next, when he dominates like he always does, people will come up with excuses. Floyd cant win because nobody is at where he is at.
if he wins Cotto, he should have took Margarito
if he wins Margarito, he should have took Mosley
if he wins Mosley, we will get the "maybe Mosley was past it/a shot fighter/too old" argument
if he wins Pacman it will be the weight argument
If you ask me he should fight Pacman for the big money and then look into moving up a weight
If he wins against true welterweights a1 fighters close to their prime then there are no excuses, but as it stands now there are a lot of questions.
i dont understand how. he has dominated 40 times in the ring. are you saying Hatton wasnt in his prime? come on....

Mosley, Pacquiao, Cotto... It don't matter. Provided the fight happens WITHIN the next year... They'll all beat him.
And i NEVER bet against Mayweather![]()

I voted mosely, because it reminds me of the way Tarver was constantly hounding Roy Jones Jr. Except this time it will be a good fight no weight drained issues, Floyd isn't bored as Roy Jones stated before his fights, Shane isn't a one punch pony.
I think shane's best chance is having NAZ in his corner the first real strategic trainer of his career. While I still believe floyd will hit shane a lot of times, it will be to see how floyd reacts to a man that isn't going to fold when the pressure is on. I say that to say this: people like to bring up shane's performances against 154 ex MWs such as mayorga, wright. But I remember scoring 3 of 4 four rounds for Judah when he faced floyd, not to mention he dropped floyd, albeit a balance shot. But floyd hasn't gone anywhere near a skillful fighter that was physically peaked at 147 since the judah fight. Had judah not been a complete hothead he physically had the skills to beat floyd or give him a very difficult fight. This is where Shane picks up the slack in the mental area.

haha call me a Mayweather parrot all you like! but those are definitley the arguments you will come up with when he beats his next opponent! as for Mosley, he would even be in the frame if he hadnt surprisingly but comprihensivley beat Margarito...even then he wouldnt have got a look in, but he stuck his fucking beak in on Saturday!

Why does mayweather only fight people past their prime, or smaller than him. IMO he is scared of the comp. After judah gave him da business for a few rounds he hasnt fought any boxer near juda's skill level. I guarantee he will not fight shane or paul because he knows there is a great chance he will lose. He would fight cotto cause he is to slow and he will fight pac cause he is smaller than him. Floyd will take no chances. He is now where near pfp imo.

Yes no can beat him, because he never actually slug. He gives one straight then clinch, use his elbow to separate then throw cheap shots again, use his glove and shoulder to hide his chin then run.
Then do this over and over again.
I love to see PBF bangged with Cotto or Pac toe-to-toe and see what he's made of.

Why would he Bang with anyone? Thats not his game! Thats like saying Ichiro Suzuki isnt a good batter cos he dont slug home runs all the time.
Why dont u say lets see Pac or Cotto try out box Floyd without throwing big punches and see how they go?
PBF has worked out a winning formula and is sticking with it, u cannot blame him for that.

He always play it safe, sometimes you have to show the world he can stand with anybody by not playing chicken. He always comes clean after the fight cause PBF has no guts sticking his chin.
Yes it's his game plan you may call it, but Hatton lost because he's to darn occupied chasing PBF and eager to KTFHO he lost focus.

Fuck off, Hatton lost the BOXING match because he isnt as good a BOXER as Floyd. He lost focus cos everytime he tried something he got punched in the face. Floyd would have beaten Hatton 99 times out of 100.
Floyd stood toe to toe with plenty of guys when he was fighting in the smaller divisions, if u cared to watch those fights. Do u even know he fought in lower divisions? As he moved up in weight he was mainly fighting guys with more power so had to box more. There is a difference between being chicken and being smart. Floyd is smart in the ring.
The sport is fucken boxing, not slugging or banging its boxing. The guys who win are generally the best boxers. There are guys who win fights through great defense, not everyone can be big punch KO artists. If u wanna see guys just throw hay makers go watch redneck tough man contests.
