Mayweather gets so much stick from so many quarters, I reckon he'd have to beat Pacman, Klitschko and the winner of the SMW super-6 tournament all in one night to get some of the respect he deserves.

I'd love to see him go in against Pacquiao, it'd be the two best boxers going head-to-head, and whatever weight it's at both men will be fighting for the p4p greatest of their generation in my opinion.

And that's the only reason why the fight would be worthwhile because we already know who will win. Manny beating Floyd would be the shock of the century.

Quit being so melodramatic JT, I'll list the man's plus points if you won't. Statistically, he is without compare in the modern boxing game. Five weight world champion, his opponents have had better records than the opponents of other fighters in the p4p list, has hardly been in any bouts that weren't title fights or eliminators in the past 10 years. (JMM, a welterweight debut against Sharmba Mitchell to settle into the weight, and Emmanuel Augustus). In every career there will be one or two potential fights which slip by, or don't get made and Mayweather's no different than anyone else in this respect.

Fact is, there's not really the competition of the standard and star-quality of Pacquiao out there for Mayweather to score the huge money, so that's why this one will get made.

I give manny the same chance i give the rest of them...pretty much none, in a back and forth slugfest it might be a little entertaining but that would never happen and sadly manny would have just as much trouble hitting floyd as juan did, then mix in the lunging and what not, a bunch of hype and 24/7's later floyd outboxes him just as easy.
