I have to go with Pacquiao. I think he will beat Cotto without a lot of problems. I think he is on a winning streak with Roach in his corner.
It will take a combination of them both to have a chance of beating Mayweather. Judging on his last performance it will be very difficult.

A true welterweight would be a start.

it doesnt matter who Floyd fights next, when he dominates like he always does, people will come up with excuses. Floyd cant win because nobody is at where he is at.
if he wins Cotto, he should have took Margarito
if he wins Margarito, he should have took Mosley
if he wins Mosley, we will get the "maybe Mosley was past it/a shot fighter/too old" argument
if he wins Pacman it will be the weight argument

If you ask me he should fight Pacman for the big money and then look into moving up a weight

If he wins against true welterweights a1 fighters close to their prime then there are no excuses, but as it stands now there are a lot of questions.

    Bloody hell....sure is.

I say a Mosley fight is the most relevant and necessary fight as of now. If it doesn't happen then it will be a shame for boxing. Not that Mayweather gives one shit about boxing these days.

I picked Mosley, for the same reasons others have stated.

If he really wanted to silence all the critics he would fight Williams. I disagree about Williams staying at MW. I guarantee, he'd find a way to make a fight with PBF happen if presented with the opportunity!!! Maybe at 154...?

However, he'll have to beat Pavlik in spectacular fashion to make it marketable.

Mosley, Pacquiao, Cotto... It don't matter. Provided the fight happens WITHIN the next year... They'll all beat him.

And i NEVER bet against Mayweather

I voted mosely, because it reminds me of the way Tarver was constantly hounding Roy Jones Jr. Except this time it will be a good fight no weight drained issues, Floyd isn't bored as Roy Jones stated before his fights, Shane isn't a one punch pony.

I think shane's best chance is having NAZ in his corner the first real strategic trainer of his career. While I still believe floyd will hit shane a lot of times, it will be to see how floyd reacts to a man that isn't going to fold when the pressure is on. I say that to say this: people like to bring up shane's performances against 154 ex MWs such as mayorga, wright. But I remember scoring 3 of 4 four rounds for Judah when he faced floyd, not to mention he dropped floyd, albeit a balance shot. But floyd hasn't gone anywhere near a skillful fighter that was physically peaked at 147 since the judah fight. Had judah not been a complete hothead he physically had the skills to beat floyd or give him a very difficult fight. This is where Shane picks up the slack in the mental area.

haha call me a Mayweather parrot all you like! but those are definitley the arguments you will come up with when he beats his next opponent! as for Mosley, he would even be in the frame if he hadnt surprisingly but comprihensivley beat Margarito...even then he wouldnt have got a look in, but he stuck his fucking beak in on Saturday!

Why does mayweather only fight people past their prime, or smaller than him. IMO he is scared of the comp. After judah gave him da business for a few rounds he hasnt fought any boxer near juda's skill level. I guarantee he will not fight shane or paul because he knows there is a great chance he will lose. He would fight cotto cause he is to slow and he will fight pac cause he is smaller than him. Floyd will take no chances. He is now where near pfp imo.

I went for the winner of Pac Cotto and am hoping Cotto destroys Pacquiao to give Mayweather no choice but to fight him.

Mayweather should fight Mosley in December and the winner fights the winner of Pac V Cotto in April!
