Winky by UD but its close on the cards by a round or two on each card at the most. Factor the experience (Winky's wealth of it and Jermaine's lack), Winky's defense, and Winky has the better jab, Jermaine does a bow and arrow thing (though maybe Manny Steward will fix it). I think it gives Winky the edge.

That bow and arrow won't matter much imo because Winky doesn't throw to many lead hooks and he's a southpaw.

Hmmm,I was watching Mosley Wright 2(round 5) and that was a big round for Shane,he got through the Wright guard a couple of times with uppercuts and hooking around the guard, was interesting.I like JT but have not seen alot of him, does he hook and uppercut alot of he jab,1,2 basics?

Why won't it matter? Winks jab could be as effective. And I think you're forgetting the opening on Taylor's body

unless manny steward totally reconstructed jermain's left hook and added the uppercuts to his arsenal....he will be beaten easily if gets in there with that jab, jab, straight crap...

What I dont understand is that everybody keeps saying that Winky has all of this experience and tactical skills that Taylor wont be able to deal with. But didnt Taylor just come out of two fights with B-hop? Is everybody trying to say that Winky is more experienced and tactical than Hopkins? I dont buy that argument. What I would buy is Winky's being a lefty and his style giving Taylor difficulties. But trying to say that all of Winky's experience and tactical skills will be to much IMO is not correct. I could be wrong but if Hopkins was unable to capitalize on all of Taylor's flaws then I dont think Winky will do leaps and bounds better. Will he be able to? probably on occasion. But not the entire fight.

I think that those two bouts with Hopkins count more than what a lot of people are giving him credit for.

I've thought the same thing... Taylor's got flack before for throwing looping punches but they will probably be more effective than the straight ones that Winky is so apt at blocking.

Absolutely not...but I have often that that Wright has what it takes to beat Hopkins.

With Wright...it all boils down to his chin, his jab, his defence, & his ability to be patient & super fwockin accurate while the opponent is throwing everything but the kitchen sink.

Also...Hopkins did capitalize on Taylor's flaws. Watch the 8th through 12th of the first fight.

Again...I agree...yes...he get's credit for hanging with Hopkins...through & through...but I just refuse to recognize the first fight as a win for Taylor.

The second match yes...but not the first.

Try Ebay...HBO is also showing a replay of Hopkins Taylor I...if I am not mistaken you can see it on Charter In Demand leading up to this weekends Taylor Wright fight.
