Dont listen to all these cotto would kill him shite. Cotto got knocked out by margarito (wraps or no wraps) taken down by torres and made to look extremely ordinary against corley

Rickys only fall from graces have been to the best 2 fighters on the planet. Id lay money on cotto at anything above 140, but it would still be an extremely close fight that if fought in britain under BBoc rules would probably result in hatton winning by stoppage
Dude...hes lost both of his fights by knockout within the last 2 yrs. One was to pac (not the biggest jr welter) and once to floyd. Even if cotto came down in weight, hes still bigger then hatton and make no mistake...cotto was powerful at 140. Yes he got rocked by a few guys but hes a much better boxer now then what he was. Hattons face first approach to boxing would get him battered senseless in this fight. Even if hes not knocked out cold or even knocked out, i would say he either doesnt come out for a round or he is tkoed.
You dont watch much boxing do you??

    lazcano (cough,cough) malignaggi (cough)

Really? you genuinely believe the miguel cotto that took 7rounds to see off jennings and just scraped past clottey is a better fighter than the man who stopped zab judah and beat sugar shane mosley??

As ive said all along you dont suddenly become a bad fighter once you beat by the 2 best on the planet. Both occasions were a step too far for hatton but he is still more than capable of competing and winning world titles at the very highest level.

Hatton-Cotto at 147 in vegas is cottos to lose, too big and too strong for ricky. Hatton-Cotto at a 143/144 catchweight at wembley/manchester sways massively towards hatton because he`ll have a far smaller ring and bigger crowd on his side which you may think doesnt play much part in a boxing contest until you enter an arena surrounded by 50`000 roaring fans!!

You cant keep using the "hatton would only win in manchester" excuse because thats just ridiculous kind of like me saying floyd can only win in vegas or kessler in germany. The boxing world is far wider than the MGM grand and the sooner you realise that the better!

First off mate took Cotto five rounds to see off Jennings who was running all fight, he wont have to look far for Hatton he would be there in front of him, Cottowould destroy him. He is far to big for starters has far better skills, Hatton should fight Marquez imo good name who he might have a chance of bullying under a uk ref.

Not a chance in hell Hatton beats Cotto. Also Hammer you think a smaller ring would suit Hatton He is fighting Cotto not Mallinaggi Cotto is a bigger stronger better body puncher better skills basically a more polished stronger fighter I dont understand how you think a smaller ring benefits Hatton

Cotto is'nt what he was before Margarito fight. But Hatton has gone down hill even more since Floyd got to him.

At 140 3years ago i would of made Hatton a slight favourite but now at what everweight they fight there is no way Hatton is winning or stands a chance at winning.

    Now Hatton gets murdered.

In my opinion, Cotto is only beatable in 2 ways. By being an extremely fast boxer & throwing fast 1-3 punch combos at him & getting out, because take too long & Cotto will start to time those combos like against Mosley. I thought Clottey did this reasonably successfully even if he didn't get the decision.

The other way is Margarito way (no, not the plaster of paris). Wear him down. Cotto has suspect stamina, so if you can take him late you might be able to get him if you can stop him boxing. But the problem is you then have to have enough rounds in the bank definitively, something neither Mosley or Clottey managed. That's academic though, as Hatton wouldn't make it out of the 1st round

Hatton is now past his prime and would stand no chance.

Hatton clearly hasn't got the chin for it anymore and his brain is too wrapped up in Hatton mania to think tactics. He gifted those wins to FM and MP (especially MP)

He'd try walk through Cotto and he'd get knocked out.

I think Hatton will only return for a mega money match, but even that looks slim now he's enjoying promoting so much.

If he did come back in a couple years he'd prob have to fight at heavy weight anyway! He's always boxed way below his natural weight and the older he's got the weaker it's left him at the lower weights

No, he's just always eaten & drank himself well above his natural weight
