floyd was bossing most of the exchanges largely due to that lightening quick straight right that caught hatton out every time they were within reach of eachother. But hattons gameplan was simple. Tie floyd up on the inside and use your superior power to get your punches off.

Worked a treat against tszyu and castillo but he just simply wasnt allowed to do this and stopped on every occasion. If you dont believe that could you please point out to me a single occasion in the entire fight where the tie-ups between the 2 lasted more than lets say 1 and a half seconds before cortez was jumping straight in

You are pretty much saying Cortez refereed badly because he did not allow Hatton to do something that is illegal in boxing. If Ricky's inside game was so godd he should have been able to get shots off without holding.
