That is a good point. Cotto might very well shoot Manny Pac into the deepest darkest reaches of the universe where he could be consumed by a black hole.
We should really wait and see what happens there before talking up Manny/Mayweather too much.

Cotto is a step too far for Manny, he's gonna get brutalised

I agree that Pacquiao should keep his focus on the task at hand.
But lets no kid ourselves into thinking that this fight has anything on a potential Mayweather/Pacquiao match up.
We're the fans, we're supposed to be talking the "What ifs"![]()

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking Pacman will struggle against Cotto.
I think not only is Cotto naturaly bigger, but he's stacked out with it. Unlike the previous bigger opponents Manny has faced.
If he does beat Cotto then he will shoot up in my opinions. I don't give him much for the Hatton or Oscar wins. Both fighters clearly had preperation issues going into the fight.
And I think if Mayweather did meet Pacman, Mayweather would be too slippery for him. No one seems to be able to hit him often and cleanly and I think he'd have too much for Manny. Although because I can't stand the guy I'd love to see him lose! (Mayweather that is)
The fight isn't at 147 tho correct? Forgive me if i'm wrong.
And if Cotto wins, thats cool too. But a Cotto/Mayweather fights WILL NOT have the same hype as a Pacquiao/Mayweather fight. If Pacquiao wins, every boxing fan will want this match to prove boxing is still a thriving sport. It has the potential to be the biggest fight in recent history if marketed right.
