But sometimes I think certain genes are obvious when children are mixed. Put any Asian with a westerner and without doubt the child will have asian eyes. I think it can be applied to black as well with a westerner. As for MJ's children, Iiiiiiiiiii am not sure. I wonder why he didn't have his very own children. I like MJ but some things about him I just can't figure out.

Well, MJ was a westerner as well. I'm also telling you from experience & living in one of the areas with the highest numbers of mixed-race people worldwide.

When two people of the same race mix they will take a certain number of features from each parent, but because they are the same race that is seen as obvious. With a mix between black & white, the child will equally take a number of features from both parent, but most people will see the black parts as more obvious because of what the person isn't - white.

Look at Barack Obama, then look at his parents. He seems to have his mother's mouth & smile, with more of his father's eyes, with his nose somewhere in between the two. I've got a mix of both my parents & truthfully don't really look like either. I know if people saw me in public though, they would only associate my mother as actually being my mother because we're both 'black'. I've actually been accused of lying by a police officer of my Dad being my father because he's white. It's quite an ingrained piece of Western ideology based around the absence of 'whiteness' making someone 'black' (sorry I did sociology & politics as part of my degree)
