one dangerous horrible bloke
I would describe myself as a moderate left winger, disagreeing always or almost always with the right and disagreeing all the time with ultra left winger too, so yeah, place me somewhere into the moderatre left winger basket, more or less.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
I'm very left-wing in some areas and right-wing in others. Primarily I would say I'm left wing, but I don't understand how some people can be so wedded to an ideology that they're completely one or the other.
This brings us to a more important subject.

Yeah, the BNP are a bit more than right of centre
I'm like most people. Liberal on some shit, conservative on others. Probably fairly left-wing, although I voted for the leftylee option.
On Afghanistan, the problems with rising extremism have largely come about through the sheer short-sightedness exhibited by those in charge when they first went in. Rather than getting a united front, they simply paid off the main warlords onto their side, without thinking about the consequences down the road when they actually wanted to establish a Government. Plus Karzai is one corrupt motherfucker, basically a Tony Montana in charge of a city, funnelling out enormous amounts of heroin.
The war had justification & the Taleban had to go, they were about as loathsome a group as there's been on this planet, but the tactics employed by the Allies have turned a lot of people in favour of the Taleban, who previously couldn't stand the bastards.
I was left wing during college days. It was the norm in the university I attended. In terms of armed struggle, I guess I'm in between. I don't support the left nor the right wing.
In terms of being critical with what the administration is doing, I'm a full bloodied leftist. I can't stand politicians, red tape, bureaucracy, and corruption.I'm vocal with my opposition against the current administration in the Philippines but I won't go to armed struggle as some of my classmates and acquaintances had already done.

None of those things are limited to right-wing politicians unfortunately. In fact, as I'm sure Lyle will not hesitate to tell you, often times left-wing governments involve more bureaucracy than right-wing ones because they have many more government-run social programs etc.
