If Floyd is so boring then why do you buy or watch any of his fights. People seem to be following and commenting on this boring guy every day of their lives. I like his fight style. I like Bernards style also. When did throwing punches and losing make u a good fighter. Gatti did that but he was an average fighter. Paul Williams throws a lot of punches but you all ran him out of the division. Just admit it, u guys dont like Floyd for some other reason. So if Vitali fought Bernard Hopkins AT HEAVYWEIGHT and whipped the crap out of him you'd give him credit? That's essentially what Floyd did by beating Marquez. Or maybe if Wladimir fought Tomaz Adamek at heavyweight he'd get credit for beating him?

I have no problem showering compliments down on Floyd's skill, he's amazing, outstanding, terrific....but does he challenge himself Does he try to challenge himself?? Has he set out to prove he is deserving of the title as the Greatest of all time? NO, NO, and NO. He's just a good fighter....Manny Pacquiao's wins over De la Hoya and Hatton (although they happened after Floyd beat those guys) were much more impressive because Manny moved up in weight and challenged himself vs the best 140 had to offer at the time and a very big albeit weight drained De la Hoya....and he stopped both of them.

Lol you jokers make me laugh with all this "Floyd's boring" shit as you've obviously only started watching him since he got real popular around the ODLH fight.

The guy is not afraid to scrap and has a ton of heart. Round 5 against Ndou was ranked one of the rounds of the year and his brawls against Chavez, Augustus, Corley etc were all highly entertaining fights.

Lyle, I don't really have a bad word to say about Wladimir because he is a good boxer and always gets the job done but I do personally find him more boring than Floyd because of the lack of punch variety and athletic ability.

However, you can't say anything bad about Wlad at the moment. He's doing his thing...I, like JT, prefer Vitali though.

As for Floyd challenging himself by moving up against a bigger guy who can box a bit? Erm...Oscar De La Hoya?? Didn't you just give Pacquaio credit for beating up on an older, weight drained Oscar?

End of the day it's all swings and roundabouts - We could argue individual tastes all night long and get nowhere. Me personally? I would sit through Floyds whole career set rather than watch a single Hatton, Calzaghe or Wlad match.

Yes, it's just about the same thing...doesn't matter about what Marquez weighed on fight night it matters that he wasn't tested at 140 much less 147 and he only had 2 fights against ok lightweights.

So I'm saying Marquez was a great featherweight and superfeatherweight and above that he's really not been in with world class opponents...Casamayor is aged and Juan Diaz is a big fat fraud. Also Floyd probably weighed in around 150 or so for fight night so JMM probably gave up 8 or so actual pounds but in experience at weight classes 135 and above he gave up loads more.
