FNF Showtime:Green v.Simms/Smith v. Crawford

This is NOTHING shocking, Allan Green has been shockingly inconsistent throughout his whole career, well at least after the KO of Codrington. People are always so quick to write off the fight with Miranda because he was missing his colon, whatever take that one away. What if you judge him off fights with Donnie McCrary, Rubin Williams, Emmit Linton and now Tarvis Simms (which actually wasn't as bad as any of the other ones) and the guy just isn't impressive. I have NEVER bought into the Green hype. A tiny bit at the very end, the Codrington KO was obviously awesome but after that, no.

So in summation, I think Green is going to do so much talking that he will get himself a shot at a top 10 guy and almost assuredly he will falter. It's already happened once, 10% or 100% of your colon, it's a common reoccurence with him.

In his most recent match, his knockout of DeLeon was solid. I think Green's showing may actually have helped in land a big fight. The other big names won't back out of fighting him now and he is first in line as an alternate for the Super Six. I agree, however, that his next fight needs to be a step up in competition: Bute, Andrade, Bika, or in the Super Six.

And don't forget, Green prepared for Oganov and fought Simms, an undefeated fighter on two weeks notice.

He looked OK against a very green De Leon, he just had more firepower then De Leon but he was firing and landing early.

That's the point with Green though, he's inconsistent! Like I said, even if you make excuses for this fight and the Miranda one; Donnie McCrary, Rubin Williams, Emmit Linton are still unexplained. And I'm sure he has his own individual excuses for each one but that's 4 times he has looked like an absolute shit against competition that someone who claims to be top 10 needs to look good against. It doesn't matter if you look great versus the World's Greatest Daddy and the Contender runner up, you have to be blowing these guys out like ALL the other guys in the division are doing.

People give Ward and Dirrell shit for the competition he's fought but shit at least he isn't being completely befuddled by them and winning looking like crap like Green is.

He should have lost that McCrary fight, he was out, completely out. Dirrell brings sooo much more to the tournament then Green would. Aside from a boring performance against Curtis Stephens (which can be explained away a lot easier then Green's performances), he's the fastest most athletic 168 pounder since Roy Jones Jr. His hand speed for the weight is absolutely unreal.

I'd argue that Dirrell has a better resume then Green's and he DEFINITELY looks better against competition.
