Good punch, but Barrett isn't anything much. Solis needs to lose about 40 pounds, he can't rely on every opponent being as poor as Barrett.

Ok, he definitely has the power, he has the skills, now does he get the stamina to resist the day he'll get banged by a relentless machine? at 270, I am not certain and I agree with most of what has been said here: He needs to shed at least 40 pounds.

That's the way it is, not the way it ends
Don't hate me for posting (and mocking) what all you poor bastards were thinking.
In reality this fight really didn't mean anything (but not because of Haye ruining Barrett which a few Brits think he did). Solis was ready to fight Kevin Johnson and then Fres Oquendo....those fights would have meant more and I am pretty sure he would have done the exact same thing to either of those guys.
Sure Solis is horribly out of shape, but he has a significant advantage in olympic/amateur experience and he's a class boxer and those other guys would just be in over their heads. Solis IS going to have to get in better shape once he really steps up to the top contender level.

...I'm sorry Memphis, I thought when Haye fought Monte Barrett it was a big deal? I thought it gave the man credibility in the division....that's what all the David Haye fans said and that's basically what Steve Bunce said.
Maybe I misremembered, but I do think someone wanted to chalk up Haye's win over Barrett as SOMETHING instead of as a tune up...perhaps it was leftylee
