Well it's a tough one for me, I'm a huge fan of the Cobra so can't go against my man, BUT I agree with Amat (he will be pleased) in that Andre Ward is my favourite.
He's not a big puncher but he's simply too good a boxer not to win rounds, and if his chin and toughness hold up I don't see how the others beat him.
Abraham relies on overpowering his opponents later in the fight, if he can't overpower Ward he loses, simple as that, Ward will just bank too many early rounds.
Froch will need to KO Ward to win imo, and I don't think that's likely.
Ward to me is more seasoned than Dirrell.
Against Taylor, I think Jermain will be mentally beaten by the time such a fight took place, he may not even continue in the tournament if Abraham does a number on him, Green may yet get brought in imo.
Kessler is a tough fight, but I honestly don't see anything that special in Kessler. He's a very solid and tough guy with good fundamentals but I don't see him as some kind of superstar in the making. Ward has home advantage and I think he will simply outbox Kessler and win a fairly comfortable decision. Kessler is solid, but he's not scary at all. Nobody will go in against Kessler with fear in their eyes, he's not a huge KO guy, he doesn't ruin fighters, he hasn't got Floyd Mayweather skills or Manny's speed, he's just solid, an elite fighter with a good gameplan will beat him, just like Calzaghe showed. I think Ward has the potential to be an elite boxer, and I think he will outbox Kessler. If he finds a way to negate Kesslers jab he wins the fight imo. Kessler doesn't have monstrous power to worry about, so its not like Ward will be walking a tightrope, he will just outbox Kessler in a reasonable entertaining fight.
I honestly think Ward wins every single fight and is declared a superstar by the end of the tournament.
I would love Froch to win, and if not him Taylor, but these two simply have too many weaknesses. Froch cannot KO everybody in this tournament, and he may need to if he's going to win it, and Jermain although he's great in flashes and I think could upset Abraham simply isn't consistent enough to put in a winning run against fighters of the calibre that are in this tournament. He's going to become a train wreck at some point.
So, I side with Ouma and Amat in declaring Ward the winner.
