I think anyone could tell you can't throw him in with a world class opponent, because he hasn't had to dig or face adversity. And from a promotional standpoint it's going to be anything but easy to get this guy where he wants to be in a couple years. 3 fights in 8 months is ok at this point. These fights are only there to build confidence. Establish a record, maintain, & train. (Nothing like what Gamboa is doing) Freddie will get him straight.
I don't know what other skill you expect from him? Can you explain that please.
