Williams v Martinez close to a deal for 5th December

Now that isnt a bad replacement for Pavlik, im quite happy if this fight happens. Full props to Williams who could of acted like a twat and said only at Middleweight.

Didn't he? The fight will be at Middleweight. Silly really as he seemed prepared to negotiate a fight with Clottey at 154. Why not fight Martinez at 154 and take a world title in the process? Still I'm not suggesting he's doing it to gain an advantage. Martinez wanted the fight with Pavlik at 160 so its no big deal for him. I just think it makes more sense at 154 with the belt on the line.

I would have liked to see the fight at 154. Credit to Martinez for no bullsh*t whining about extra money & the weight (unlike Clottey).

This is a great replacement for Pavlik & Martinez is going to be a tough challenger to overcome. Williams better bring his best or an upset is not out of the question imo
